Basic Info:

  • All junkyards were sealed and locked at the start of the quarantine, and required wirecutters to enter, unless someone else had already cut the fence. It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open.

Description

A large white-stone building surrounded by burnt-out cars.

View from inside the Junkyard. Just beyond the wooden fence, in the background, are the Luscombe and Bugden Buildings.

Barricade Policy

Per the Williamsville Barricade Plan this building should be barricaded as highly as possible: Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB) (ideally EHB+4).

History

This junkyard was once known as 'Three-Ton's Antique Auto Parts and Salvage', according to a rusted sign still hanging eerily from a battered post near the entrance of the main structure. The compound itself is now almost completely empty, with the exception of a few piles of rubbish and debris, and the occasional wreck of a car. A chain-link fence surrounds the majority of the junkyard, while a scrap heap nearby rests against a solid wooden fence.

The main office, a large stone building in the middle of the junkyard, is now missing a roof and has fallen into serious disrepair, although two windowless rooms are still adequate enough for survivors to take shelter from the rain or the snow inside. The old office itself cannot be barricaded, but the compound's fence can.
