Description
A once-affluent street of smart apartment blocks.
History
Bateman Way is notorious as the location of Patrick Bateman's former home. The official street name is now forgotten, and the nickname 'Bateman Way' has stuck.
Bateman moved to Malton in the early 2000s, to work as an investment banker at the ill-fated Boyd Bank. While living in Stanbury Village, he was suspected of the murder of numerous colleagues, homeless people and prostitutes. However, when he was taken to trial, his lawyer famously proved that Bateman was too well-built to wear the blood-soaked Armani suit jacket that police claimed he had worn while battering a woman to death with a golf club, arguing that "If the jacket don't fit, you must acquit."
Realising the law was closing in on him, Bateman took advantage of the apocalypse to slip away into the zombie-infested night; if you see a zombie in Gucci loafers and a Valentino suit, it might be him.
