Cannibal Corps/Operation:Darqueness Falls
Recently Declassified
During our first encounter with the Children of the Darque, it was noted that each of their members had multiple characters each, by which they could potentially overrun (zerg) our members. This indicated that guerilla tactics would be necessary in order to create a better kill-to-casualty ratio that would be in our favor. Nevertheless, the Children of the Darque would eventually create even more characters for each of their members, and would eventually significantly outnumber our members.
Since many of the Children of the Darque have child-like mentalities (as evident with their discussions and role-playing on the Horror City board on GameFAQs), they can easily be manipulated through their anger, and have difficulty seeing the big picture. This will work to our advantage, as Corporal Token Black Man will continually prod their members through various tactics (such as misdirection, enlisting the aid of outside elements, taunts, and frame-ups), in order to keep them confused and off-balance (Note: perhaps too effectively, as it seems).
After Captain Achak and Corporal Oberon analyzed the Intelligence-gathering process of the Children of the Darque, it was determined that their best efforts at gathering information relied on being spoon-fed information from our members. This provided an opportunity for Operation Darqueness Falls to be implemented.
Operation Darqueness Falls is a simple idea. With frequent complaints coming in from members of the Children of the Darque through Corporal Token Black Man to the high-ranking officers, the idea of a temporary truce would be enacted between the two groups. Once the truce was in place, rules of conduct would be enacted in order to keep the “war" (as the Children of the Darque called it) fair and balanced. Since the Children of the Darque is a terrorist organization, there would normally be no need to actually stick with the rules of conduct, as they don’t apply to terrorists.
The key rule that would be enacted would be the idea that any members of the Children of the Darque who did not want to participate in the “war", would formally denounce the Children of the Darque and remove any such designation from their profile. This rule has two benefits for us:
- By having their members remove the name, we can see the level of dedication of each member to their group and the struggle itself. It indicates the troublemakers of their group so that our members can focus on the remaining Children of the Darque in order to break their spirit.
- If enough of their members remove their group affiliation, then the Children of the Darque would be removed from the confirmed group listing, thus showing to everyone that they were “defeated".
Of course, once they find out the true motives of Operation: Darqueness Falls, the members of the Children of the Darque will redouble their efforts against us, with the fact that they were “broken" in the eyes of the Maltonians stinging their egos as a constant reminder to them. This will mean that Operation: Laughing at the Darqueness will be enacted immediately at the end of Operation: Darqueness Falls.
