History

A common local myth is that this Avenue (built in the mid 20th century) was meant to be named after the famous British PM, Winston Churchill. However, the signage company misspelt the name, and the local council couldn't afford a new sign, and this one stuck.

In reality, however, it was named after his unknown half-sister, Lynn Churchous.
