Cult of the Squirrel/Organization
INCOMPLETE
Organization
We organize our more active players into strike teams. A strike team, essentially is a group of squirrels who all attack the same target, ideally at the same time. It's a good idea to join a strike team for two reasons:
- Strike teams are more AP-efficient than independent play
- Playing this game in a group is far more fun than playing alone
Team Structure
The available positions in our strike teams are outlined as follows:
- Cult of the Squirrel (Non-affiliated members)
- Marshal: Settone
- Squirrels: (open for recruitment)
- Aeromys: The flying squirrels (Mixed Team)
- Marshal: Settone
- Squad I (Zeds)
- Lieutenant: DarkestHour
- Squirrels: (any zombie squirrel may join)
- Squad II (PKers)
- Lieutenant: Happy
- Squirrels: (any PKer squirrel may join)
More strike teams will form as new members join to swell our ranks.
Ranking
Squirrel
When you sign up to join this group, you will be officially recognized as a squirrel when it becomes clear that you intend to participate and stick with our group. When you become a squirrel, you then have the opportunity of joining a squad. When you join a squad, you are expected to do your best to break whatever target your lieutenant has designated, and to finish the day in your HQ in the absence of other orders.
Squirrel First Class
An extension of the squirrel rank, the squirrel first class is one who has proven him- or herself to be a true squirrel by remaining active on our forum for one month and making 100 posts. A squirrel first class is awarded a star, visible to others on the forum, and is one large step closer to being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
If you are a squirrel with the required activity level and you want this recognition, make a post in the appropriate application thread and the marshal will award your star and make a congratulatory post.
Lieutenant
After diligently battling the humans as part of a squad for two weeks, a squirrel first class can be promoted to the rank of lieutenant. A lieutenant is the leader of a squad, which is the smallest division of our cult. A squad is comprised of approximately 4-10 squirrels, and is the kind of unit that is dispatched to ruin and hold individual buildings.
If you are a squirrel first class who has served in a squad for at least two weeks and you think you would make a fine lieutenant, talk to a superior officer about getting a recommendation to lead the next available squad and the marshal will promote you when the time is right.
Hints for any aspiring leaders out there:
- It's easier to get a recommendation when you help the group move along smoothly. The lieutenants need proof that their squads have performed effectively in order to advance, so when you help them, they'll help you.
- Spelling "lieutenant" correctly is a good idea. Part of leadership is communication, and if you can't communicate, you can't lead.
Captain
A squirrel of the next rank, captain, is one very dedicated individual. He or she leads a company of about 3-5 squads and is in charge of making sure that many blocks of the city fall down and stay down according to plan. Common assignments include
