Welcome, here's the Overview!

Does Not Bite was founded when one Gale Donovan was getting tired of constantly being dumped outside of buildings after every zombie- or PKer-related death. He had found that he was not a hostile zed, and he wanted to remain behind to help defend his friends even when found to be metabolically challenged. Assurances were attempted, but some well-meaning passerby - or someone who hadn't heard (or didn't care/believe/etc.) - would invariably tilt him out of some portal or other. Granted, founding a group may not provide any major solutions, but it's a start.

Beliefs

Members of Does Not Bite are people who have died and are - or have been - zeds. During their undeath, they have experienced little- or no desire to bite, infect, or otherwise harass those who were friendly to them in life. In short, members of Does Not Bite retain something of their living self when undead, even if they may not be as brisk on the uptake as when they were alive. Someone belonging to Does Not Bite believes in defending their friends, unto and beyond death.

Rules

There are only a few guidelines required to belong to Does Not Bite:
1. Living members do not attack non-hostile survivors. GKers and PKers are fair game, as they endanger other survivors.
2. Living members will not attack barricades, except in the case of overbarricaded buildings that are marked as such. Verbal warning and reasoning will be given before these barricades are taken down to VSB++.
3. Living members will give zeds the benefit of the doubt. Unknown zeds hanging out in front of resource points are fair game, as more often than not they will try to break in and attack any survivors inside. Zeds in non-resource locations (especially RPs) are to be left alone. Zeds who are known to be hostile to survivors are fair game, regardless of location.
4. Undead members follow the same guidelines as living members, with these exceptions:

a. Barricades may be attacked in order to enter buildings where the zed in question - or its living counterpart - are known. However, if the area is under attack from hostile zeds this is inadvisable; you are trying to defend your friends, not put them at risk.
b. When inside buildings, undead members may not retaliate against survivors that attack them on the first instance. Repeated offenses, especially if the survivor in question was warned, may entitle the member to seek retribution while either living or undead. Needless to say, survivors known to be hostile are fair game at all times.
c. This is more advice than guideline: it is wise to attain the "Death Rattle" skill early on, as this allows undead members to communicate their non-hostile nature to survivors.

Alliances

Does Not Bite members are happy to work with any and all pro-survivor and non-hostile zombie groups.
