Description

Greenaway Way School is located at coordinates 69,22 in the suburb of Huntley Heights and is one of the five schools in the Huntley Heights School District.

History

Opened in 1996 Due to the increase in population after the "dotcom" boom in the 1990's, particularly in the Malton suburbs of Huntley Heights and nearby Santlerville, and overcrowding of classes in neighboring James Street School, Greenaway is one of the only maltonian schools to house every grade from Primary to Secondary, as well as offering a Gifted Learning program for those younger students who with to try their hand at college and uni level coursework. In Mid June of 2005, nearly the entire school took a week fieldtrip to visit the learning institutions of America, thus sparring approximately 80% of the student population from the quarantine.
