This is a group of survivors dedicated to securing Grigg Heights from the zombies that have overrun the suburb, and to showing trenchcoaters how to play as a survivor group without resorting to using alts to supplement group numbers. Founded by a number of players concerned about both the sliding numbers of the survivors and the rampant alt-abuse among survivor groups, the group is dedicated to playing a clean and fair game.
Actually, we're mainly dedicated to having fun, but playing by what we consider to be the rules is important to having fun from our point of view.
Organization
The Guns of Brixton are lead by Yevgeny Furtim, a survivor of the first Siege of Caiger Mall. Growing tired of what he saw as pointless in-fighting and drama amongst survivors, he set out to show them all how things should be done. Recruiting an eclectic group of supporters, including several domesticated zombies suffering from the Brain Rot, Furtim set out to find a suburb in need of direct help and not claimed by any existing survivor groups. He settled on Grigg Heights, a suburb recently ravaged by a zombie horde referred to by survivors as the Undeadites and currently playing host to a collective of undead German tourists locally known as the Lebende Tote.
Revive Policy
Yevgeny believes strongly that all former zombies can be rehabilitated, given a chance and proper psychological counseling. Thus, he has decided to create a dedicated revival center in the south of Grigg Heights for those zombies suffering from the Brain Rot. He has also asked his colleagues in the north part of the suburb to administer revivals to the general zombie population and to work towards their rehabilitation, though the norther group focuses its attention upon those who have not yet had the rot set in.
Stance on Alliances
The Guns of Brixton consider themselves group-agnostic and will lend aid to all survivors in their area (apart from known zergs and PKers). Conversely, however, they do not believe in forming official alliances with other survivor groups. The official Guns stance is that alliances are little more than a source of Drama and Politics, two things to be avoided at all costs. Therefore, while the Guns seek to maintain good relations with all groups and will assist those groups who share their area of operations, the Guns will also not accept offers of alliances from any groups.
Contacting the Guns
Though the Guns of Brixton reject alliances, we are open to other kinds of communication with our fellow survivors. If you have a message or a question for the Guns, please use our talk page.
Current Goals
The current goals of the Guns of Brixton include establishing reliable revive points within their chosen area, and to strengthen the area's general defenses against the still-formidable zombie threat. The Guns have also started designating certain members to patrol the area and hunt for PKers who target Guns of Brixton members.
More recently, with Grigg Heights coming more and more under survivor control, the Guns have begun expanding their efforts into neighbouring suburbs.
Duplicate Resource Barricades
With the recent increase in zombie activity in the suburb, and noting that Grigg Heights contains two instances of duplicate resource buildings adjacent to one another (St. Julius' & Cornelius General Hospitals; Lees Boulevard & Blaxall Way Police Stations), the Guns of Brixton have proposed increasing the barricade level on one building of each pair to EHB to afford more secure strongholds for survivors as well as safeguard the generators in these buildings for their search-boosting benefits.
Grigg Heights residents are encouraged to comment on this new policy using the talk page.
Chronology of the Guns
7 May 2006: "With the lack of fresh, accessible brains hindering the Totes youths growth, raiding by the Lebende Tote in Griggs has commenced." Doc smith
27 April 2006: There are indications that Lebende Tote are returning to Grigg Heights, as Reganbank provided no targets. Evidence of coordinated break-ins supports this. The Guns officially welcome their honoured foes back to the suburb. Barhah, Lebende Tote!
23 April 2006: The Guns have managed to firmly restore order within Grigg Heights and the southern two blocks of Owsleybank that we patrol. Break-ins still occur and people still get killed, but with the migration of the dangerous zombie horde dubbed "Lebende Tote" to Reganbank things have become much safer in the area. Revive cues are also being well-maintained.
Primarily facing uncoordinated feral zombies at the moment.
12 April 2006: Having firmly established themselves in the suburb, dispite continued Lebende Tote and other zombie efforts to end their breathing state, the Guns have begun to designate revive points for non-members and to make preparations to open a Brain Rot revive clinic.
6-8 April 2006: With help from a wandering survivor group known as The Invisibles, the Guns managed to revive most of their members and establish a tenuous foothold in Grigg Heights, despite frequent attacks by Lebende Tote members and the active feral zombie population.
4 April 2006: Intensive efforts begin by the few Guns remaining alive to revive the rest of the group members.
30 March-3 April 2006: Members begin to shamble or travel to Grigg Heights, and those who are living are promptly slaughtered by the locals.
28 March 2006: Yevgeny Furtim announces his desire to found a "clean" survivor group to a select group of fellow survivors.
