9/27/08 The name's 0dysseus, with a zero and not an "o".
I'm building the skills I need for a solo circumnavigation of Malton. Then the very limited gear.
I figure I'll need the following skills: Free running, First Aid, Bodybuilding. I'll also need the XP on deck for Lurching Gait and Ankle Grab so I can keep going if (well, when, really) I'm killed. To get those skills, I'll need Diagnosis and Necrotech. Those skills will come in handy for any group expedition.
A group expedition could be fun. We could plan it out and restore safe houses and supply points. Maybe sleep in separate dark buildings and communicate via flares and graffiti. The greatest advantage would be in having a everyone carry a few Revivification Syringes.
My solo trip will be much less gear intensive. I'll sleep in dark ransacked buildings and carry nothing but FAKs. I might drag along a DNA extractor for some points but that may only A) slow me down and B) alert any undead groups that I'm in the area.
On second thought maybe a few Spray Cans and the Tagging skill would be better. I could mark a particular symbol in every neighborhood along the perimeter.

I've got full Axe skills instead of Diagnosis and Necrotech. It won't add XP quite as fast but the both Axe skills together cost the same as either Scientist skill alone since this character is Military. All I need now are Body Building and First Aid. The First Aid skill will effectively double the number of FAKs I can carry. Both will keep me alive and that is the only goal besides seeing the whole perimeter. That's 250 XP I need before I start.

Loaded up on FAKs and set out. Day one saw me from Foulkes Village to Grigg Heights. Nixbank looked pretty bad but Crooketon was better. Grigg Heights not so bad as far as I can see. No interesting graffiti, no hordes as far as I can see.
All in all, pretty unremarkable first day on the road. Think I'll scrounge a cell phone tomorrow in case anyone wants to get in touch with me.

Okay, died for a good year and a half. Still in Nixbank, looks pretty good now, if dull.

Forgot about the game for eight years. I'm ba-ack!
