"A low level friend of mine recently asked for help. I told him I'd get him to the Mall, and I did, but... The area south of the Mall has a high population of shamblers, although they seem to be mostly freelancers. When I left the mall, there was one outside with a flak jacket and 60HP, probably a Mall Tour advance scout. I took him down with six shotgun shells and a few pistol rounds, but he'll get back up... The corpses are slowly piling up outside."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.
Sitrep: 31/01/06, 1104 hours
"More of them seem to arrive every moment; I headed outside to take a look around; two survivors outside the library with a zombie. I blew him away, but one of them was nearly dead. Slapped him with a couple of FAKs, but he's still weak. Think he managed to make it back inside though. One outside the NT building; pumped a couple of rounds into him, realised I couldn't kill him, stuck him with a Rev Syringe, and found he was a rotter. Probably the same one I killed yesterday."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.

"I'm just a little ways southeast of the alleged 'Zombiegeddon' zone and already the concentration of zeds seem incredible. As I progressed along my journey my fears of finding a safehouse to spend the night in grew; I just need to move quickly and get to Caiger. My only hope is that I can move through the most dangerous zones without needing to stop. Any one I see up there who is wounded can be damn sure I'll do my best to patch them up. If enough of us get up there, we just might be able to hold the mall."
-- Capt Morgan (HMF); Level 2 Medic.
Sitrep: 01/02/06, 0134 hours
"We can hear them now. Hundreds upon hundreds of them just outside of Caiger's district. We can hear the feeding coming from the southeast in East Becktown. Heaven help whoever was left behind there. Recently though the groans that were coming so clearly from the southeast have been spreading out. We can hear them clearly to the south and almost southwest. Many of our homes are out there, and there's nothing we can do but sit and wait. Damn them!"
-- Chief Wiggums ; Level 10 Fireman.
Sitrep: 01/02/06, 0839 hours
"It seems to have quietened down for the moment. I scouted around a little, but didn't see many shamblers. Even the big rotter I shot up last time is gone; or maybe just lying down. It's quiet. Too quiet."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.

"Somebody heavily barricated St. Izzy's. I got revived but I still haven't recovered enough to make it back to the mall. It seems calm, except for the overcrowding at the revival point. Watch out also, Kenefie Lane Police Dept is extremely barricaded, as are nearby buildings. Do not venture outside, most buildings are overbarricaded and zombies are lurking around.
-- Samuel Rodriguez; Level 2 Private.

"A group of murderers, calling themselves "COWS" have infiltrated the mast/necrotech building NE of St. Isidore's church. I got in and began to strengthen the barricades and was attacked by a guy calling himself "wibble". I managed to shoot one of them, but some other COWS members named "iatejason" amd "a zombie" finished me off."

"There?s a big congregation of zombies near Caiger at St. Isidore?s, the main rev point. Brain rotters trying to waste our syringes. Scouting the area reveals no more serious zombie mobs. They must be hidden."
-- Metadona; Level 34 Zombie Hunter.
Sitrep: 02/02/06, 0824 hours
"I went and took a look outside... I nearly got trapped because some idiot had overbarricaded, but... There's a big group of 75 shambers on the NT building southwest of Pagram Library, and smaller groups dotted all around. I guess this is the advance guard."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.
Sitrep: 03/02/06, 0741 hours
"There are now over two hundred and fifty undead attacking the Hearn Building to the south, and another twenty or so attacking the NT building to the west. The rest of the mall is surrounded in a weak cordon of zombies. If you're planning to run, now's your last chance..."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.
Sitrep: 03/02/06, 1705 hours
"I've based myself in the warehouse behind Caiger Mall, lacking the free-running skills that's displayed by many of my fellow survivors. In a failed attempt to improve my combat skill I was trapped outside when the barricades were strengthened before I could get back in. Exhausted I was overrun by the living dead. Fortunately I was soon revived by a passing survivor. Report filed lying on my back in pain, near Caiger Mall."
-- Dr Autonomous Smith; Level 2 Scientist.
Sitrep: 03/02/06, 2135 hours
On my way up from Kinch, I stopped off in Mockridge to overnight. The whole way up, I saw one building safe to stay in, there isn't a building within 20 blocks South of the mall safe to overnight in. If you are coming up to join us, make sure you have the stamina to make the trip in one day. The mall itself is secure, and now that people are watching out for them, generator breakers die so quickly that the NT building is powered.
-- LagDemon; Level 20 Firefighter.
Sitrep: 04/02/06, 0024 hours
Just pissed myself looking at the NecroNet. About 950 scanned zombies around Caiger, and probably many more than are either A) dead or B) brain-rotted. We're gonna need some serious back-up.

"The barricades were breached on Pagram Library. Fortunately, the valiant efforts of our defenders drove back the Zombie hordes. They are now up to very heavily; current mall entrance is the Warehouse to the north. Someone destroyed a generator, but was spotted and blown to pieces by about five concurrent shotgun blasts. There are over four hundred shamblers in the vicinity of the mall. It is begun."
-- Crane ; Level 27 Lone Gunman.
Sitrep: 04/02/06, 1029 hours
"both the warehouse an the library (the entry points to the mall) full of zombies 30+ and 190+ in each point. Library over barricaded."
-- Metadona; Level 34 Zombie Hunter.
Sitrep: 04/02/06, 1710 hours
"Instead of searching for ammo, I had a quick check at Pagram Library. It was hell! Zombies were constantly scratching at the baricades, and on top of that, there were 7 of them inside. God was I happy to see some other survivor on duty, shooting these ghoulish terrors!"
-- Quacki, Level 26 Firefighter.
Sitrep: 05/02/06, 0942 hours
"I stepped outside for a look... 388 of them attacking Pagram Library, 104 attacking the east NT building, and 103 attacking the south NT building. I got attacked as I was looking around, dodged back inside, got healed up, then headed back out to blast the ****er. When I entered Pagram Library from the Mall, the doors were wide open and there was a Zombie in there. I shot at it, but I couldn't hold out much longer... I ran back into the mall and fell asleep, leaving two Zombies in there with a load of survivors... There was nothing I could do..."
-- Crane ; Level 29 Lone Gunman.
Sitrep: 05/02/06, 1443 hours
"I was sitting at the food court when suddenly a horrified teenage scout stormed in. "the Pagram Library has been breached!" he shouted. I quickly grabbed two pistols and headed to the library. When I got to the library there was already a pile of zombie corpses scattered on the floor and the four survivors stationed as guards there were busy shooting the remaining zombies. I joined the guards, killing two zombies, but just when things started to look better and there was only one zombies left standing, my allies have ran out of ammo. The lone zombie lurched slowly towards me and I had only one bullet left. I stood there for a few long seconds, aiming for beast's head.
I missed.
The zombie kept approaching me, just when it was in arm's reach of me a shot was heard. The zombie fell and at the doorway stood the boy who alerted me in the first place, holding a smoking pistol with both hands.
Today we were lucky, but eventually we will run out of luck."

Every moment is a moment of fear, zombies are begining to out number us. Me and the rest of the 501st have made it very clear, We will be the last poeple to run from Caiger Mall. Capt. Wolf is still looking to be revived. But our last best hope is that the zombies give up, but we know it wont happen. We have the plan set up. If we have no choice we will head east to the Norvell Building. There is a phone Mast there.
The others will go, but i will stay along with Lt. Orily, I must remeber to save a clip to take him out. It's the least I can do.
Siterep 05/02/06, 1620 hours
I unwisely left the library to fight a zombie on the streets, and was set upon by a great horde. I fired left and right, glimpsing over 600 zombies flailing at me. In front of me I saw another survivor suffering the same fate. My clip not even empty, I scaled the barricade with the undead clawing at my heels, before dropping hard onto the other side. I crawled back to the mall, my life hanging by a thread. What became of the other I cannot say. Even now I hear them smashing, their dull fists hitting the piles of junk that stand between us and death. To leave Caiger is death. Stay within, let them not feast upon your brains.

I woke up, and had a small look at the four sections of Caiger Mall, before I went into the NT building. I wandered staright into hell! I was not able to baricade the doors fast enough, the zeds kept knocking them down quicker than we were able to bring them back again. Plus we had a mob of 20 or so zeds inside. I had to leave because I was really exhausted, so I did not wait till the end of this fight. Good luck at least the mall seems to be ok.

"They seem to be coming at Pagram pretty hard, perhaps because it's one of our main mall-entry points... I checked in there, and there were five Zombies or so, and the barricades were down. I, and a couple of others, rebarricaded, and the others took the shamblers down and dumped them outside... Got rid of four, but the fifth... He took a lot of killing, had a Flak jacket and all. We killed him twice, and each time he stood up again before we could dump the corpse. I stuck him with a Rev syringe, but he was a rotter. I took him down for the final time with my pistols, then chucked him out of the door before he could rise again. THAT's what you get when you mess with Crane!"

"Since I arrived, I've spent most of my energy running back and forth with as many FAKs as I can find. I passed through the Herman building earlier, slipped past a horde of about twenty-seven and sprayed a message for anyone unfortunate enough to be there. I hear there has been a lot of fuss over the library lately, though I've only been there during the lulls in fighting to dole out medical attention to whoever needs it. I don't think anybody knows when the fight for the mall itself will start; at least everybody has some target practice while the shamblers wander around outside."

"Pagram got hit. They took down the barricades and killed a good bunch of us. I arrived there when someone screamed for help in Caiger, and there were 12 zombies inside, and a few already inside the SE corner of the Mall. We slaughtered them with upmost discipline and dropped the bodies of our friends and zombies alike outside. I hope some of them come back..."

"I've been hovering about the mall for a while now. Who would have thought that Dixons would be such a nice place to sleep? I nipped out to Pagram a few minutes ago, it's holding out pretty fine but barricading below heavy would be suicide. I think it's fair to say there are no entry points to Caiger, unless you're a sickhead free runner with a long route. I hooked a generator up in the library but had no fuel. Can't have our defenders reading in the dark, can we?"

"I've just returned to Caiger Mall to scream for help; I doubt I can help fight them off much longer -- out of ammo, out of first-aid supplies, and tired as hell. Pagram Library's been breached again, and someone else is screaming that 38 zombies just swarmed into Eden... goddamnit."

"So I've been wandering out on the outskirts of Darvall Heights. I don't know about Pagram Library - honestly, what's the fuss, anyway? It's not like we're going to beat back the hordes of drooling undead with the complete works of Shakespeare - but seems to me that quite a few buildings in the area are heavily barricaded and under human control. The situation might change, but right now, I have to admit I'm kind of disappointed. I just got revived a few weeks ago, and I've been looking for a fight ever since."

Been in the Northwest quadrant of Caiger... and things are going bad, fast. I crawled out of the bathroom stall where I've been sleeping, into the midst of a firefight. 50 zombies have busted in... their numbers are dropping quickly, but now I'm worried. These boys could arrange a pretty sad Valentine's Day tomorrow, if we're not careful...

Well, the Upper Left Corner kids are fixin' to throw a party. That pack of undeath hit the floor pretty hard, and the sidewalk outside even harder... but I'm still shaky... things happened so fast, and right inside Caiger Mall, the safest place I thought I'd ever be in...

I didn't get much sleep last night, its that incessant moaning coming from outside broken only by the ocasional pot shot of some ramboesque bastard outside. Then this morning I wake up from my restless sleep to gunshots from inside the damn mall, zeds broke in again. I helped heave the bloated corpse of some faceless, nameless man over the top of the cades, he'll be back.

Curse those pesky zombies! I snipe one off the top of the warehouse barricaeds, only to find 4 in the Latrobe building. I'm so tired, seems I've hardely taken my finger off the trigger since I came here. Some in the mall say Xyu has been spotted at the barricades.

I overheard someone mention a breakthrough in the warehouse to the north, and seeing as I had been too exhausted after my FAK hunt yesterday to start handing them out then, I decided to head north. As soon as I got there I patched up a fellow who appeared to be tanking the entire assault. I turned around and saw another defender in desperate need of help; unfortunately the zeds got him before I got within reach. I fired off a few rounds and tagged a few of them before the attention of one of them turned towards me. Just as I was leaving, one of them grabbed me and took a nice bite. I was lucky enough to get back into the mall and get patched up. Everyone seems to be holding out well enough, it's just a matter of fighting them off, now.

Situation stable. The zeds attack, we counter-attack and re-up the 'cades. I witnessed the death of a few survivors at the claws of lucky zombies, but at this rate it'll be summer before they kill us all. There's a nice sense of community here: survivors playing games, telling stories, healing bite wounds, etc. I even saw a bunch of kids playing soccor with the head of a former rotter; cuteness beyond words!

Help! After a brief look inside the other day things are looking bad, when I checked two zombies had broken in. Hopefully the situation will have cleared up by now. I await in terror in a nearby safehouse till I have some more strength (APs) to rejoin the battle. Currently the seven of us are bunked up safe with a generator, however the murderous curs have been raiding nearby buildings - if they break in here we will give them something to utter incomprehensible words about.

I finally packed my bags and wandered down here...it's quite a mess. The shear number of people here is incredible, though, and everyone seems to be helping out. I still have my guns loaded, but for the time being, I'm fulfilling my duties as a man of science by healing my fellow survivor. There are plenty of injuries to go around and not very many medical supplies, but I've been making due and healing those who are more in need of it. Zeds continue to slip through the barricade, however, so I never keep my eye off the barricade nor go anywhere without my 18 guns.

What a day. Upon waking, I decided to look into the rumors that the zeds are pulling out. Hopped over to Latrobe (via Pagram) and logged into NecroNet; lo and behold, the horde outside was about 10% smaller than usual! Also saw a lone zombie standing at the Coker Avenue revive point, just north of Holloms Auto. Investigating, I first checked the barricades at the warehouse entrypoint; didn't want to get caught out in the cold like so many before me. They looked fine so I proceeded to Coker. A quick DNA scan indicated a rotter; a quick headshot dealt with the problem. Back to the warehouse, right? Wrong. Though I had only been gone a couple of minutes, some jerk had already sealed the building! Fortunately I found an access point to the northwest and was able to circle back around to Caiger, just in time to see a breach in progress and rebuild the ramparts a little before a well-deserved nap. Bother.

A Final Note From Crane:
Well, it's over. The Zombies have pulled out, and we live to fight another day. This battle is won, but the War continues... Thanks to everyone who gave my idea a life of its own.
