PK Killers/racket
I want to set up a stale candy racket.
Stale candy is the most interesting item in the game. It's the only item that can be traded between characters, it's the only item that has 0% encumbrance, and it's rare - available only briefly at Halloween from 2007 and not since 2012.
Despite its total lack of utility, stale candy is perceived as desirable to possess and therefore valuable.
We're going to get stale candy moving, ultimately into our own and our friends pockets.
To do this, we're going to theorise and experiment.
Some of us might set up a market of sorts, and attempt to buy or sell stale candy, whether by offering or accepting favours, services or something else (never money).
For example, I want to try and sell a block art 'portrait' for a stale candy. We might be able to merc - on our terms - for a stale candy. The possibilities aren't endless, but we're canny.
Some of us might try to extract a stale candy from a group as tribute, using force if necessary. And then use the notoriety to extort another from a different group.
We are looking to determine, where possible, the market value of stale candy. And once established, we want to play around with control that market.
As a character can only carry one stale candy at a time, we will need to be clear during transactions. We might ultimately need fences, and friends to act as banks.
This could even be controversial. There are many means and methods, we shall need to discuss them thoroughly before taking any action. But this could also be conceptually interesting, a novel vehicle for creativity and potentially really fucking funny.
There was a minute I was convinced this was the greatest Urban Dead idea ever conceived.
If we'd bulked up and kept a group down until they paid the stale candy tribute though, that probably would have topped everything else I ever achieved.
