AN IMPORTANT NOTE

This tactic has been is only usable inside Forts. A zombie can simply walk out of any other building.

How it could work

The survivors lure a horde into a fort(With human sacrifices) and they barricade the main entrance!

Alternately, the humans in a Fort could be zombified and imprisoned, as outlined here.

Prison Tactics

Unlike many other tactics currently employed in the game, Prison Tactics promotes the lack of movement from one area to another, allowing for survivors to hold out in areas where usually zombies would force all life away into the surrounding suburbs.

Prison Tactics make use of trickery, survivalism and a group mentality to buy time for survivors to secure an area.

Lock & Key

While most survivors use the age old tactic of blasting holes in every zombie in sight and then forcing them into the open, Prison Tactics manages to hinder a group of zombies significantly by giving them exactly what they want...
Any zombie within range of an occupied building seeks to break down the barricades, get inside, kill as many humans as they can, and finally ransack the building.
With River Tactics, those goals are less of a problem to the occupying survivors. Because humans have the option to follow these steps to fully exploit the single-minded nature of zombies...

  • First allocate a building to use as the "prison".
  • Make sure the building is powered. (to attract the zombies' attention)
  • Lower the barricades to a level which is easy for zombies to break down.
  • when the zombies break in rebuild the barricades to extremely heavily barricaded.
  • Finally leave the newly barricaded building.

With the zombies locked within this "prison" they must now spend valuable AP trying to escape! Which means that there are less zombies around to attack other buildings and the zombies who escape will have less AP to spend on acts of revenge. This new tactic should come in handy whilst in suburbs with a high number of zombies on the ground.

Risk & Reward

Now I know that sleeping in a powered building with low barricades sounds like suicide, but you have to weigh things up.
Risk

  • Zombies could kill you! ZOMG!
  • The building you're using as a prison will be out of action.
  • ...and that's about it. Unfortunately there are only 2 Forts in Malton, making them valuable.

Rewards

  • The zombies you've trapped can't kill anybody else while captured!
  • Zombies waste AP that could be used on killing on breaking out.
  • There will be less zombies outside to attack other safehouses.

Zombie Prison Break

Just imagine...
