Rot the Mitchener

The Rot the Mitchener project is an ongoing strategem in the Southwest corner of the map to keep The Mitchener Building in as complete a state of decay as possible. This project goes hand in hand with various land salting projects.

History

New Arkham is historically a very boring suburb. No malls around, and none of the zombie hordes to be seen. This has left the zone in the hands of a variety of smaller groups engaged in back and forth warfare. The impressive ammount of nercotech facilities in New Arkham has long left it a place in need of some dedicated zombie groups to spice activities up. While some back and forth has taken place, the increasing population unbalance has made salt the land policies a necessity for the survival of the game, and the Mitchener building is a prime target.

Why the Mitchener?

The Mitchener is isolated in the corner of the map. It is within a quick strike of a few other necrotec facilities, but is relatively secluded on the map. The suburb in general serves as a rare battleground zone, where zombies and survivors can both opperate in smaller groups, and have more interesting battles than fighting against hordes and mega hordes. Historically, when the Mitchener has been in survivor hands the zone has stayed green; when contested, usually yellow; and when consistently in zombie hands, the zone ranges from yellow to red.

For rp purposes, the thinking zombie Zarak Goldleaf has declared the Mitchener to be a cluster point for his zombie brothers. For metagame reasons, both zombies and survivors should support this policy as it does the following: 1) Gives zombies a more interactive game by establishing a base of opperations 2) Reduces survivor effectiveness in the SW corner, thus increasing the action and making the game interesting in all nearby zones. 3) Zombies holding the Mitchener poses little to no longterm threat on central areas to the game, as New Arkham is far removed from the major conflict zones. 4) It creates a hot spot to attract Adventure Tourists to come to to attempt some Big Ruin Hunting repairs.
