Description

History

Opened in late 1992, Sambone Library was funded in part by the Malton Literary Society, the Lamport Hills Trust, and the NecroTech Corporation, along with municipal funds, as part of a larger effort to bring culture to Lamport Hills. Sambone Library held a large amount of biomedical texts, as well as a large selection of science fiction works. Its earliest books included used books donated by citizens from Lamport Hills and Millen Hills.

In 1999, Sambone Library was the victim of a vandal spree, with a large number of its non-fiction texts set on fire or soaked in cleaning agents. The building itself withstood the fire, but had to be remodeled due to graffiti and fire-damage.
