The majority of players spend their AP merely surviving day to day inside of whatever shelter they can find. JOIN SHADES AND THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. Shades of Malton is not about numbers. Its about comradery that surpases just having matching group names. Its about communicating with other members who are actively working to make your game expierence better than ever before.

We choose to work in small numbers to make our efforts pinpoint the major problems we face. Having a small group of communicating, strategy based players is better that a large group of player disorganised and uncaring players. SHADES works in small, individual strike teams or infrastructure leaders (running hospitals, construction crew, etc). Each team leader will help their subordinates gain XP points, while developing leadership skills and XP themselves.

So they are. Our current members list gives you a numbers of ways to contact any member from founder to level 1 members. We include several ways of communication (wiki forums, other web forums, our own e-mails, MSN Messenger, etc). We want to talk to you personally. We want you to be a part of our TEAM. This is not just being able to say you are a cop, soldier, firefighter. This is active service in a disciplined, yet kind group that cares. You need backup in a dangerous part of town? You got it. And you don't even need to be part of our group. Thats what the 'Shades' are all about. What sort of survivor are you looking for?

We respect any honourable survivor who will co-operate. Quite simply if you cant obey orders no one will obey yours. To get higher with us you need to earn our respect. We do not appreciate any PKers, GKers, zombies, zergers or griefers in the Shades. Your future is in your hands, act wisely.

If you are um.... we'll go boomstick and axe rape you...

Alright, so what do you offer?

We give you the opportunity to shape your own career within our group. Choosing from three small units (HDU, EMRU, SCU or SRRT) you will take a position according to your abilities and commitment. For example: You may join as a private, but one day you go behind zombie lines to backup a injured member. You would be a prime candidate for promotion to Sergeant. We take these incidents into account.

Our rank structure is based around rewarding good dicipline and leadership skills with responsibility and power. You shape your own career. Don't want to give orders? We respect that and are happy to keep you at whatever position you like.

Want to move up? Give us your service record and recommendations of your fellow members. As soon as a position is availible, you will be considered by a group of administrators for the position. Keep good with your immediate commander, as their opinion of you is very important to us.

Where can I find Shades?

We are currently barricaded in Houldenbank. The Pitney Building is currently our base of operations. We have a steady supply of ammunition, a running generator, and regular medical visits. While Pitney is currently overcaded we still have a large number of bases we move to and from.
