The Crisis at Hand

release detailing what they believe to be the cause of the recent wave of attacks by seemingly agressive individuals. We strongly urge our viewers to stay calm until military units arrive.
Currently our satellite feed has been taken over by the Emergency Broadcast System, but we will continue to opperate our network through use of this freequency. As always, during this time of national crisis the staff at channel 9 will make every effort to bring you up to the minute news reports, as they become available to us. Sniper Fire Halts Hospital Evacuation
A physician at the hospital said that despite the incidents staff members and patients were eager to get out after three days with no water and electricity and sparse food rations.
"A single sniper or two snipers shouldn't have to shut down a hospital evacuation for two hours now," Dr. Della Stanfield told channel 9. "I look outside, I'm not seeing any military."
Stanfields's husband, Dr. Tyler Standfield, witnessed both incidents.
"We were coming in from a parking deck at Cornelius General Hospital , and a guy in a white shirt started firing at us," Tyler said. "The National Guard [troops], wearing flak jackets, tried to get a shot at this guy. "
The first incident happened around 11:30 a.m. (12:30 p.m. ET) as Tyler and his National Guard escorts headed back to the hospital after dropping off several patients at nearby building to be evacuated by helicopter.
Cornelius General Hospital shares a helipad with the building, which is across the street.
They were traveling in a convoy of armored vehicles, and Standfield said the vehicle behind him was targeted.
About an hour later, another gunman opened fire at the back of Cornelius General Hospital .
"We got back to Cornelius General Hospital with with food from the other building and we said, 'OK the snipers are behind us, let's move on,' " Standfield said. "We started loading patients [for transport] and 20 minutes later, shots rang out."
The National Guard soldiers told staff to get away from the windows, and evacuations were halted.
Berggren, an infectious disease specialist at Cornelius General Hospital , said that since then she had heard nothing about resuming evacuations.
She said about 200 patients still need to be evacuated. All of the patients in intensive care have been evacuated.
Cornelius General Hospital has no electricity and no water, and the only food available is a couple of cans of vegetables and graham crackers.
Evacuations by armored car were halted after armed looters threatened medics and overturned one of their cars.
Widespread looting and random gunfire have been reported across Malton. Police told channel 9 that groups of armed men roamed the streets overnight.
Officers told Channel 9 they lacked manpower and steady communications to properly do their jobs -- and that they needed help to prevent the widespread looting and violence now prevalent in the city.
Troops Unquarantine Monroeville Only to Find New Danger
The culprit for the revitaliztion of the already redead zombies was discovered to be mosquitoes native to that region carrying a new strain of the origonal virus which thus far has a 100 percent mortality rate and kills victims in fewer than 1 hour.
After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of its victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believed to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”
Monroeville officials say that the outbreak has been contained and the public has no need to worry.
The current General had this to say, "We have obtained samples of this new virus and plan to learn how it starts the heart and other major organs of the deceased. We intend to use this to increase the quality of life for all."
The Virus

Insane Man Kills His Wife Then Himself
A Malton woman was murdered inside her condominium by her estranged husband, who then killed himself with a shot to his head.
Nina Steve Shantel, 31, was shot four times just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday by Blake Scot Shantel, 34, who then doused the condo and his wife with gasoline, ignited it and then shot and killed himself, Malton police Detectives said Thursday. The sprinkler system inside her Malton Park condo on Malton Avenue quickly extinguished the flames.
The couple was in the process of a divorce and Blake Shantel had been arrested April 23 for misdemeanor spousal battery, authorities said.
After that assault, Nina Shantel had a restraining order issued against her husband and the two were in Family Law Court in South Malton on monday regarding a pending divorce, court records state.
Hospital a Hell on Earth
Attack victims converged on the Sixtus General Hospital Medical Center in downtown Malton today. The booming metropolitan hospital with all the latest
techniques in health care seemed barely able to handle the onset of wounded who seemed to show up in never ending droves. "We started seeing only a few cases a day when this whole thing first began last week. " Said Dr. Sinclair, Head of Sixtus Medical’s ER and Trauma Center. "Not only are the medical supplies dangerously low, but we seem to be running out of room to accommodate all the victims who are constantly arriving." Passing through the ER, looked like a war zone. Many of the wounded and injured lay on the ground, or across desks and many were still bandaged with the make shift rag dressings they had used when they first arrived. These were the bloody victims of the recent attacks from the aggressive individuals that have now been confirmed to be the living dead. Strapped to a gurney, a man lay writhing in pain, huge hunks of his right shoulder missing. Bite marks remain where the muscle once was attached to the bone. It seemed no amount of morphine could ease his pain.
At approximately 5:30 AM a huge commotion erupted near the elevators in the back of the ER. Armed members of the Military and National Guard herded all those who were not injured into the front lobby while a man in uniform shouted to several troops declaring they were needed immediately on the 11th floor. We remained in what we believed to be a fairly safe area for several minutes until screams and gunshots rang into the air. At that point, we were told to head to the parking lot for safety as more inhuman screams and gunfire erupted from inside the hospital. We thought the worst was over, as we waited outside in the parking lot, crouched down behind a line of military soldiers. Suddenly wailing, animal-like screams and howls began growing from inside the walls of the hospital. Louder and louder they became until a group of crazed individuals burst forth from the hospital lobby and ran towards those who were waiting outside. The military immediately opened fire, bringing down several of the aggressive infected. One woman began screaming at the military, “You just shot my husband! He was trying to get to me! You just shot my husband!” A stray bullet hit an oxygen tank causing it to explode, as gunfire continued in all directions. From the hospital windows we could see unspeakable acts of carnage taking place. On every visible floor doctors, nurses and patients could be seen as they fought off the onslaught of the ever-increasing horde that had now taken over the hospital. It was at this point that we were ordered by the military to get into our vehicles and leave. We did not hesitate. Several failed attempts have been made to reach the hospital for comment the military did not issue a statement concerning the matter.
Another Murder
The mutilated body of Herald Mart was discovered late yesterday in an abandoned lot far from his home in northwest Malton, making his the fourhudreth victim of the supposed "cannibal killers" to be found in or near the Stanbury Village district in the last month. Consistent with the coroner reports, Mart's corpse showed evidence of having been partially eaten, the bite patterns apparently formed by human jaws.
Such is the vile and disgusting world of south Malton. The zombies of south Malton seem to never die — having infested a nightmate-enducing life for more than half a decade, and now spreading to the new location of Stanbury.
From whence have these devilish creatures of the night come? No one knows for sure, but read on good citizen. Read on.
S.T.A.R.S Member Sued for Smuggling Zeds
The zeds had been on their way to destroy a NecroTech facility in this suburb about an hour southwest of Stanbury Village. But after a Ncro stop for a faulty ID swipe card of Jill Valentine's, members of a sheriff's task force targeting Zed and gun smugglers found they were not NecroTech. Now they were bound for federal custody.
Beginning Wednesday, more illegal zeds coming through Stanbury Village could meet the same fate as the sheriff's department beefs up its efforts to find illegal Zeds.
A 250-member posse that will operate similarly to the anti-smuggler task force will patrol the area for illegal zeds who pay smugglers to cross through Stanbury, the busiest illegal entry point along the 100-mile suburb boarder.
The posse will be made up of existing sheriff's deputies and members of the department's 3,000-member posse reserve of trained, unpaid volunteers and it will be run by the Border Patrol.
- The Special Tactics and Rescue Squad have assesed all the evidence and have come to the conclusion that Jill Valentine was in no way connected and it was actually an imposter known as A RAPE SPIDER (to many) who was the actual culprit. Major General John Killah would like to apologyse for the problems caused.
Mall Warnings
An MDD report warned the Horde may be planning to strike shopping malls in southern Malton and Eastern Malton during the summer season, but a bureau official said on Thursday there was no information it was a credible threat.
Channel 4 News first disclosed portions of the report that was based on intelligence received by the MDD in late September. The report said the Horde hoped to disrupt the Malton economy and had been planning the attack for the past two years.
The document, called an intelligence information report, was intended for law enforcement and the intelligence community, MDD's spokesman said.
"In the post-zombie era, sharing information is our top priority," he said. "the Horde messaging has clearly stated they intend to attack Malton Malls or it interests; however, there is no information to state this is a credible threat."
The MDD said in the report that the veracity of the information was uncertain and had been obtained through "a lengthy chain" of sources.

Malton Besieged
Fires exploded and the walking
dead rampaged as the citizens of Malton scrambled for safety against an onslaught of growing legions of flesh eating hordes. What had once been a quiet, peaceful Midwest City now resembled a vision into the darkest regions of hell itself. Few have survived what can only be described as a growing plague of ravenous and highly contagious, flesh eating zombies. What began only a few years ago as a few isolated events has now grown in mass to an overwhelming army of the infected killers. For now, Malton occupants are urged to seek refuge at one of the rescue centers set up by the NecroTech Corporation and located throughout the city. If you can not make it to a rescue center you are advised to try and make your way to one of the Malton Police Departments as soon as possible.
Our Situation
Our situation here at the rescue centers is stable for the time being. Something appears to be driving the undead towards our locations but have so far not been able to get passed the various barricades.Centers
in the north have not been as lucky. We've gotten word that it was believed the undead are following the scent of the living and that by starting a nearby fire would throw off the scent. The plan backfired causing structural damage to the northern centers. No word on casualties or if the centers are still operational.
As familles here mourn the loss of loved ones, they are greatful for the hospitality and shelter the centers are providing. In the this situation people give blackberry's, palm pilots, laptops and cell phones - all used by battery power, the loss of electricity in most highly populated areas proves to be no problem for the communication technologies of today.
Officials are making it clear that no one should attempt to leave the safety of their hideouts. Main roads have become too treacherous to drive down and with an undetermined amount of zombies at large, survivors should remain where they are until the official word of rescue comes.
MISSING PERSONS REPORT
An anonymous family member of Janus Prospero (known only as MagSun to his friends and family) stepped forward today, accusing the NecroTech Corporation of kidnapping. The heralded head of the NecroTech Corporation’s security department, Prospero was last seen six months ago. According to the family member, when the Malton police investigation turned up few leads, Prospero’s relatives decided to hire their own private investigator. They are now seeking further counsel before filing a lawsuit against the Malton Police Department itself. The investigator claims the police department was paid off by the corporation to bury the case. A spokesperson for the company has denied the allegations, calling them preposterous, “Prospero was a valued team leader, and we miss him as much as anyone.” The Police Commissioner was not available for comment.
S.T.A.R.S. Cop Suspended Over Alleged Zombie Sightings
Ms. Valentine’s suspension stems from her assertions that strange “happenings” have occurred in the Ridleybank suburb. According to Valentine, zombie-like beings are living in Ridleybank, feeding on human flesh and attacking unsuspecting inhabitants of the region. Valentine has gone on record with her report and has the support of several other S.T.A.R.S. Officers. During yesterday’s press conference, Commander Serge noted that Officer Valentine had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to the recent death of her partner, Leon Kennedy. “Jill Valentine is one of our most gifted and intelligent police officers, but she just needs a good rest right now,” said Commander Serge. “She made wild accusations of monsters living in the suburb of Ridleybank. I think this leave of absence will give her time to clear her head,” Commander Serge continued. Officer Valentine has remained more or less silent about the issue of her temporary dismissal and did not attend yesterday’s press conference. In a prepared statement read by one of her fellow officers, Colonel Kewabara, she stated ,“I believe Malton
is under serious threat. I have seen human creatures eating
each other as well as other humans. I am not deluded. Soon the inhabitants of Malton will see these terrible creatures, and all of you will know I am not making this up. I believe the NecroTech Corporation is somehow to blame for the unfortunate fate that has befallen these individuals. I cannot explain it further. I beg all of you, citizens of Malton, to prepare to fight this force. It will soon be upon you.” Immediately following the reading of Officer Valentine’s statement, the conference was halted and questions were referred to the M.P.D. Media Relations Officer, MacGregor Austin-Olsen. A spokesperson for the NecroTech Corporation issued a statement in a separate press briefing yesterday denouncing allegations made by Valentine. The alternative media reported earlier this week that Officer Valentine, along with a least three other Malton Police and S.T.A.R.S officers, had seen what they described as “mutant, or zombie-like” beings near the entrance of the NecroTech Corporation research compounds. Secret Lab Investigated
Early this morning, authorities released information regarding questionable activities of the worldrenowned NecroTech Corporation. Earlier reports indicated that the NecroTech Corporation has been running a secret, research facility known to inside sources as “Zit.” The Corporation was able to hide this laboratory for an undisclosed period of time until an explosion, the cause of which has yet to be determined, brought the facility’s existence to the attention of authorities. While police would not comment on what was found when they entered the The Zit, anonymous sources close to the investigation say the preliminary search uncovered many horrific medical experiments. Until this time, the NecroTech Corporation had been extolled by most for its research in medical advancements. However, after the discovery of The Zit, many of those that had previously praised the Corporation have begun to question its practices. While the Corporation had previously addressed some criticisms, none of these compare to the recent accusations regarding the laboratory. Past complaints had included the assertion that the NecroTech Corporation’s overwhelming presence had created a dependency on its products and services. Further complaints had been made regarding the company’s newest cancer treatments, which require patients to take heavy prescription dosages for the duration of their lives. Representatives of the NecroTech Corporation still have not commented regarding the discovery of The Zit or any unlawful medical experimentation. While exact details from authorities have yet to be confirmed, insider reports indicate the experiments took place in a gigantic, prison-like facility. The facility possessed its own defense mechanism, controlled by state-of-the-art artificial intelligence. The system was headed by a central programming identity referred to as A.L.I.C.E that prevented all unauthorized entry and exit. Sources could not confirm the exact size of The Zit but estimate its size well beyond the height of a ten-story building and considerably wider than a city block. The question remains, how could such a structure have been built without the city’s awareness in the first place? It seems that only time will reveal the truth concerning the secret activities of the once-celebrated NecroTech Corporation.
Killing Rampage Takes 8, Wounds 2
Police said they could use some help with their investigation in the second incident of mysterious massacres in and around Malton within the last two months. The most recent occurred last night around 4 a.m. Investigators have linked the murders due to the similar execution style. Eight residents were found dead with strange blackened eyes and numerous bullet wounds to the head and chest region. Two survivors, who suffered similar injuries, are being treated at an undisclosed hospital. A hospital representative said that while the men are in critical condition, their bodies have been inexplicably regenerating at an accelerated pace. Their minds, however, seem to be severely damaged, leaving the men in a waking vegetative state. Malton Safety and Security spokesman Blake Johnston visited the scene and is appealing to the public to come forward with information on the gruesome attack. “It is appalling to see human beings massacred in this way. It was clearly a planned execution, which suggests that it is a matter of organized crime,” Johnston told reporters. MPD confirmed that a high-level integrated task team known as S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Squad) has been assigned to investigate the initial incident. Recent development within the group includes the suspension of Jill Valentine, announced today, for purporting unsubstantiated sightings of strange creatures during her investigation. When questioned as to whether the killings were murders or in-fact execution-style kills of zombies, Johnston denied Valentine’s reports stating, “No stone will be left unturned to ensure that the perpetrators of this despicable crime are brought to justice.” The bodies were found near the Kersley Mansion. When police arrived on the scene, they encountered the victims, wounded and writhing in agony on the floor. One of them somehow managed to escape, although he too had been shot in the chest. He made his way to a nearby gas station where he eventually collapsed. Johnston described the scene as “disturbing.” According to neighborhood residents, Kersley is considered a quiet area. But recently, the police have been summoned at night after receiving complaints about wild dogs barking. TODAY MALTON LOST ONE OF ITS LEAST NEEDED POLICE OFFICERS, Jill Valentine, due to a temporary suspension. The suspension was issued by Commander Serge of the elite Special Tactics and Rescue Squad (S.T.A.R.S.). She was well-known to Malton as the unit head for Drug Enforcement and Organized Crime and was responsible for many high-profile arrests.
Deranged Dogs Maul Local Residents
Fifteen people were mauled last night by a pack of Doberman Pinchers. Witnesses described the dogs as appearing sick, with sections of flesh missing and blood-shot red eyes. Security officers guarding the damaged NecroTech Corp’s midtown facility (The Zit) just a few blocks away answered the calls for help destroying all but one animal. Police investigators arrived late to the scene. “We intend to keep the dog for testing,” stated police commissioner Ben, “and hope to identify where these animals have come from.” The commissioner denied any relation between the dog attacks and The Zit’s explosion.
