St Francis's Church, a four-storey red-brick building, its doorway flanked by statues.

History

Lady Patricia and Saint Frank

St. Francis's Church, universally known as St. Frank's, was the spiritual home of a highly unorthodox branch of the Christian denomination, which soon caught the attention of nearby law enforcement officers because of its raucous services, in which St Frank of the East End was venerated with his famous hymn, Pat? Pat! Pat. Pat. Pat.

As legend has it, St. Frank was a medieval second-hand cart-dealer (and later also publican) from the East End of Wray Heights who fell in love with a beautiful young lady, Patricia ('Pat') of Gulsonside. Although they never stopped loving each other, circumstances kept them apart for many years and they both married other people; decades later they married each other at last, before splitting up (after Frank's disappearance) and marrying other people again, then having a series of romantic interludes until Frank's death.

Throughout his life, the Blessed Frank performed many miracles. He often broke Pat's heart, yet was able to miraculously mend it every time. He disappeared from Malton for years before miraculously returning, having cured himself of insanity. He was said to have died while on a pilgrimage to Spain, yet was seen to rise again at his own funeral. Consequently, St Frank was canonized and declared the patron saint of carriages and marriages by Pope Brian XIII.

St Frank's earthly remains are kept in a reliquary in a tomb in a crypt in the neighbouring Garden of Remembrance.

Post-Outbreak, St Frank's was at one time the Shadow Legion's Headquarters, and sported a warning sign saying: Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.

Barricade Policy

According to the survivor's Gulsonside Barricade Plan, St. Francis's Church should be maintained at EHB to provide a safehouse for survivors. According to the zombie version of the same policy, St. Francis's Church should be kept at DWO to allow undead congregants to worship BarHah.

Current Status

Feb 23, 2019 - Bodies litter the streets surrounding the church and elsewhere as Gulsonside remains home to as many bodies above ground as there are below. --MR2Di4 (talk) 18:10, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

May 9, 2009 - The Rise of Khaos successfully cleared the church and held mass, munching on the remains of some guy all the while. Let there be Barhah!

May 5, 2009 - This church is currently under attack by the zed group known as Rise of Khaos. Soon, hilarity will ensue, people will be eaten, and we zeds can pray in peace.
