Suggestion talk:20070516 NecroNet Download
A very interesting suggestion. On the one hand, your naysayers are right about too much information, griefing, and zombie anonymity. But on the other hand, what is DNA scanning and NecroNet access all about if not to track zombies? Part of the problem here is that you give all the profiles and GPS coords for every zombie in a huge area. What if instead, you pulled the NecroNet scan and then you could click on a specific block to get the profile link for zombies in that block? That ups the AP cost quite a bit if you want info on ALL the zombies (1 AP to access NecroNet, 1 to zoom in on a block, 1 to go "back" to the big view, another to zoom in again... it builds up over time). Also I think the zoomed in version should show the building name so you get a reference point. --Uncle Bill 02:15, 17 May 2007 (BST)
- And here's an idea to help prevent griefing. You could balance this by allowing zombies to "rip out" the NecroNet tracking tag. This also wouldn't hinder revivers because they only need the tag in just before they revive. --Uncle Bill 02:15, 17 May 2007 (BST)
