Description: | I was thinking that for another 100XP you could buy this skill after you have bought all of the previous nectrotech skills, and it would let you see a 10x10 map when looking at necronet instead of the 9x9 it does at the moment, it would also highlight the NT buildings in the area. May not seem big, but it would be useful.
Not sure if it's a dupe, but i think this would be useful to people to have. As currently a mass mob of zombies could be hiding in the corners! Plus with highlighted NT's would help. If there's a problem then you could have it so the map only highlights the NT you are in, however i don't see it as too much of a problem. And for anyone who says this is useless, some people may regard the wiki as a metagaming source and thus not use this, so this would be helpful to them. Thank you. Oh and if anyone could think of a better name for this skill, it would be appreciated. - Put up for voting --Acoustic Pie 19:53, 24 November 2007 (UTC) |
Discussion Advanced Necronet
HAven't made up my mind yet about the suggestion itself, but the name? Necrotech Privalaged access?--SeventythreeTalk 20:40, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- Enhanced NecroNet?-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 20:43, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- What about NecroTech Technician? As that is to do with the more computer aspect of things. And with the acutual suggestion, i was thinking that it should highlight all the NT's in the area, not just the one you are in and they would be highlighted a light green.
- For an addition i was thinking that: The square with the most zombies in should be highlighted (if there are two or more the same then they will both be highlighted) red, for ease of comparing where the biggest horde is to where you are, rather than trying to work out where you are on the map and where the biggest horde is. - Did you mean "privileged"? As far as I know, the NT you're in is the center one so highlighting only it would be pretty useless. If the area would be increased from 9x9 to 10x10, there would be four center-blocks so it wouldn't work anymore, so it would be better to make it 11x11. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 20:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think that it is the centre one, i think that it just shows a 9x9 cutting off the bottom and the right corner. At least that's what it was from the NT in quarlesbank. Acoustic Pie 20:52, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
My suggestion for a name is Necrotech Elite Access. Gives it that "higher clearance" feel to it.--Doggie 20:56, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think this should be a new skill. I think it should just be an interface tweak -- all it would do is highlight the tile you are in, nothing more. That's pretty reasonable -- it is quite hard to figure out where you are in those scans. --WanYao 12:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
This is annoying. Just thought up a very similar skill. Advanced necronet. As you get used to using the necronet you can look at its history files, log on sheets and power usage. My idea was that in game terms when you access the net all necrotech buildings have a small box on them, yellow for powered, grey for unpowered and black for ruined. Like this:
But you beat me to. so its all yours.....--Rosslessness 13:12, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you Rosslessness, I shall use it and put it up for voting in a couple of days when people have finished adding what they want. So overall I'll put it up as an interface tweak, and change it to an 11x11 screen so you can see your whole suburb with your NT in the centre. Also I will do it so that your NT will have a little dark blue corner in it. And that, as suggested it will show other NTs as grey for unpowered and black for ruined, reflecting the without power and ruin bits on buildings in the areas. Thank you once again for the idea Ross! - Ah, now we're getting somewhere! I'd totally vote for that! --Uncle Bill 02:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
