Seventythree's Vote

  1. Kill Current system works fine as it is.--SeventythreeTalk 15:40, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Re Buttons worked well before zippers. Why not make small improvements? Isn't that what this page is for? --Jon Pyre 15:56, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
One mis-click and I've linked to a whole new page. Brilliant. --SeventythreeTalk 15:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
How is that different from normal links? And if you misclick (which would be hard to do because this is a single character) you don't even lose your page and all the messages you've seen. Clicking this is actually better than accidentally clicking a profile link. --Jon Pyre 16:00, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
To be honest, I just don't see why this is needed. There is no reason for this update, minor though it is.--SeventythreeTalk 16:05, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I just spent 5 minutes this morning adding contacts. I figured it'd be nice for it to take about ten seconds from now on. --Jon Pyre 16:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Midianian's Vote

  1. HATE POPUPS - Since when are bullet points linkable? --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 15:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Re Just use a circle character that looks the same and make it a link. Simple. Pop-ups aren't annoying. Unwated pop-ups that get in your way are annoying. This is not an ad. --Jon Pyre 15:50, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
      • Re: Don't tell me what's annoying and what isn't. All popups are. And using a circle character instead of a proper list is dirty hack that has side-effects (for example) when copy-pasting. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 15:59, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Note a Vote, but an idea

I'm pretty certain it would take only moderate skill to whip up a browser extension that could so something like this, and it does seem worth-while. My personal skill is with Greasemonky, and I could see this being a very nice addition to my "ActOnProfile" script. Not a reason to vote kill, but given the slow pace of implementations, its worth thinking about as an alternate. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 18:40, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
