Discussion (cripple bite)
I would say it's a bad idea to mess with someone's AP. Causing someone to use more AP is fundamentally different than what infection does (which only affects HP in relation to AP usage). And could someone be both infected and crippled? Thanks. Bob Moncrief EBD•W! 19:27, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
to answer that question if both can happen in short no it would be 1 or the other as this would over power it and i dont see the ap a to big of a deal the zeds had to handle with walking costing 2 ap and its temporary --Soul kai 19:46, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
sorry, but i feel the suggestion isn't that well thought out.If a newbie without the freerunning skill is given a "cripple bite" he would need to:-
- run around and find a hospital at VSB barricade while losing double the AP
- must find a person with the surgery skill
- plead with the person to waste his AP on finding a FAK and
- make him heal the affected person further wasting his AP--PayneTrain 08:49, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
im aware this may effect newbies however a zombie like i pointed out needs to walk for 2ap before it can normally move--Soul kai 13:31, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
Rework Suggestion
Obviously the current one must stand as is, but seeing as it would be a miracle for it to survive at this point, I'd suggest considering a rework of it. Perhaps the following would be more acceptable:
- A.Crippling Strike has a 50/50 chance (on successful hit only) of causing 2 AP move req OR Can't use two handed weapons respectively. (If you don't like screwing with AP, then get rid of the 2AP move req for lowbie zeds, consistency people)
- B.Crippling Strike can be cured with a FAK just like infectious bite However Only Infection Or Crippled can be cured with a single FAK, if the survivor has both, one is randomly selected as cured, and a second FAK must be used to cure the remaining condition.
- This still relies on hampering the survivor, but banning debuffs is ridiculous. They are a standard tool in game balancing, and if implemented correctly add to the overall fun. This gives Zeds a significant debuff they can use, while making it simple (but not trivial) for survivors to cancel it. --Boneshred The Hungry 23:35, 8 April 2013 (BST)
