Volume One Feedback
- Got a question or comment that isn't answered by the above polling options? We all do. Put it in here. I'll respond here. We'll laugh, we'll hug, we'll cry here. I'll make fun of you (in a good way) here. It'll be great, uh, here.
My oh my. What a pleasure. I will dole out the episodes the way the advertisers do, but for my own profit. Did you get your novel published? kind regards, Baruch aka Clubx and,uh, Catherine. Seattle, Washington, USA. Baruch 17:12, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- --As a matter of fact, the novel's still in progress (117,000 words gone, 291 pages, only one of those words is "zombie," still not done). Since I am a big fan of finishing things on symbollically important dates, the first draft of the manuscript will end July 4 (so help me God it will). From there the arduous task of re-writing, editing, doodling, dragging my feet, slacking off and watching too much television begins. This is distinct from the first stage in that it includes re-writing and editing. I'm calling it "Independence From Manuscript Work Day." Feel free to abscond with any material you like on the page. This is really just kind of a side-project, since the target audience is very, very specialized. If I could find an artist willing to take up the torch, I'd like to see "Minority Report" (and the upcoming Volume 2: "Forgive Us Our Sins") in graphic novel form, but I certainly wouldn't do anything without permission from Kevan or whatever. In the meantime, this remains an engaging exercise, a kind of way of writing without pressure and just kind of enjoying telling a story. Oh, and my name's Brian, and I live in Waupun, Wisconsin. My survivor alt is Jonathan Frey, and my newly annointed undead alt is Dr. Mangles. What's Seattle like? -- Jonathan Frey 21:44, 18 June 2007 (BST)
Are you also Goggles? And no offense taken re: guys. Seattle is swell. We promote the image of constant rain to keep people away. Though last November I think had no sign of the sun, so I'm going to South Africa for a month to study AIDS, land reform and "neoliberal development." (huh?) I think it means what the World Bank does after it says bend over. -Catherine
- Hee hee! It's been a while since I got my political science degree from Marquette University (about two years, actually), but I'm pretty sure neoliberal development is connected with NGO-distributed development funds (basically, charity handouts or teach-a-man-to-fish style development programs). It could also possibly refer to IGO development (meaning the Bretton-Woods bend-over folks...guess which institutions got coopted by neomercantilism), as well, since neoliberalism tends to favor collective international action over realist (or conservative and neo-conservative) individual international action (as in country-specific loans). So, are you a social justice major or a political science major? I only ask because that seems like pretty specialized stuff — I did Poli Sci and Journalism. They're about as far removed as you can get from zombies. Oh, and no, I'm not Goggles. You'd think so, since J. Frey wears them all the time, but sadly, no.-- Brian 23:42, 18 June 2007 (BST)
Wow. This is awesome. Asherah 03:33, 2 August 2007 (BST)
