Published Barricade Plan

The current plan is not UBP-compliant:

  • The VSB/EHB ratio is 24/30, which is significantly higher than the recommended 2/3 ration (which would spell out to approximately 18 VSB/36 EHBs for New Arkham.
  • The big VSB cluster on the eastern side of the suburb, is very vulnerable, and weakens that side of town.
  • All of the NTs are designated EHB - at least one should be enterable.

I've switched its designation on the Barricade Plan page for now. In future, when you write a new plan or modify an existing one, please either change its status here to non-UBP plan, or preferably submit it for review here. Thanks!

Misc. comments: The Gulliver Building was designated open on the plan, and Hersant Alley was designated EHB, so I reversed the two labels. And just on a stylistic note, have you seen the barricade plan generator? Its colorization options are handy for making building types, RPs etc. more visible. -- Fingersmith 3.June.2007

Comments on Previous Plans

The following is the updated barricade plan for New Arkham. Please leave constructive feedback/comments here. --Zeke 04:25, 24 March 2006 (GMT)

It looks awesome, thanks! I'd like to request the following changes:
  1. According to Uniform Barricading Policy, NecroTech Buildings are Essential Resource Buildings and must be VS unless redundant. I would downgrade Mitchener [1,95] to VS using Spotted marking. --Updated.
  2. Upgrade the other two NT Buildings to EHB, but mark them using Override Slashes (Wreford [5,98] and Harford [8,99]) to clearly indicate that these are redundant resource buildings and are kept at EHB despite being essential. --Updated.
  3. According to Uniform Barricading Policy, Schools are Essential Resource Buildings and must be VS unless redundant. Mark both Painter Street School [3,95] and Newmarch Avenue School [9,95] as VS (Spotted). Relax away the warehouse [2,96] Entryway to EHB; this area can be covered by Painter Street School. --Updated.
  4. According to Uniform Barricading Policy, Churches are non-essential and can be EHB. Nonetheless I would either remove the orange color on St Hormisdas', or use some sort of sparse diagonal slashing to show that this is a colored-but-still-EHB building. --Updated.
  5. Similary the Phone Mast is EHB, and a sparse diagonal slash would be useful to denote "Extremely Heavy Barricades as per Uniform Barricading Policy". --Updated.
  6. Color the Parkhouse Monument [6,99] green as an official Revive Point. --Updated.
  7. Color the cemetery [9,90] light green to aid proponents of the Sacred Ground Policy. --Updated.
