Talk:Skilliter Library

OK, User:Hibernaculum and I have a grand old edit war going on, though thankfully we're each considerate enough to merely alter, and not revert, the other's contributions. But maybe we can hash it out here:

1. The QSG has one policy, and the QSG's presence has one effect: free booze & books for all, zombies and humans alike. If somebody is so violently opposed to our existence that they go to the extreme of murdering us all, it follows that they are opposed either to a) alcohol, b) literacy, or c) both. So which is it?

It follows no such thing. We already explained why we attacked yous and it was for none of the above reasons. Your continued insistance that yous were slain because we are against literacy is the bone of contention here.--Hibernaculum 15:25, 23 October 2007 (BST)
No, you haven't explained to me. Something along the lines of you're opposed to weird cults and the like. If we're a weird cult we're a weird cult, but the thing that makes us cultish is our promotion of zombie literacy. --Buddhagazelle 19:49, 23 October 2007 (BST)

2. In an earlier edit, after H claimed that the purpose of the murders was that the QSG's presence was detrimental to the surrounding area, I added "including the Malton City Zoo." Most of the surrounding area is the Malton City Zoo, surely if our presence harms the surrounding area it devastates the zoo. But H now clarifies that the QSG's general malaise infects the entire area except the Malton City Zoo. Care to explain?--Buddhagazelle 00:42, 23 October 2007 (BST)

what you said was that we believed Literacy was detrimental to the surround area including the Zoo. Which is false and a play on words. I have tried another compromise edit. If you ever want this to stick, Leave out the stuff about us being against literacy (hey, the FOD loves their books!) and I'll leave the zombie yoga stuff alone. Agreed?--Hibernaculum 15:25, 23 October 2007 (BST)
If you love your books but you murder people who give books to other people, then it seems to me that you're against literacy. Not against your own literacy, but definitely against zombie literacy. Care to explain? --Buddhagazelle 19:49, 23 October 2007 (BST)

I give you this excerpt from our own Daisy Pusher.

There is an ugly stain on the landscape of Roftwood. Who would have thought that a disgusting haven of necrophiles and death cultists would be located in the innocent looking library?

The Quartly Study Group have been using this place as a shrine to evil for a long time, much longer than all of us have been in Malton. Inside this den, they invite the undead in, protect them with cryptic symbols on their walls and engage in sordid activities, including poetry recitals, literature critiques and diabolical musings. The QSG themselves are made up of some of the most respected and experienced members of the Malton community, it is foul that these sins to Pro-survivalism have gone unheeded for so long...

But worse yet, the evil spreads as a carnival of depravity travels around Malton tracing the pattern of a heart-shape, poisoning a symbol of life and vitality. Upon this tour, the group tear down barricades in chosen library locations, invite the Undead to join them and then waste precious AP on their unholy mantras when they should be killing the zombies and then reviving those who desire it. Further more, when they have concluded their foul orgies, they then leave the library unbarricaded, their filth still covering vital tags and 'cade plans, and leaving any zombies to gorge themselves on the sleeping.

Do not believe the propaganda; there will never be peace between the living and the undead. --Hibernaculum 22:02, 23 October 2007 (BST)

Precisely what I've been saying. All y'all hate literacy. Flowery words about how much you hate it when zombies can read and sing and dance together with humans doesn't make you any less bigoted. --Buddhagazelle 01:49, 24 October 2007 (BST)
