Description: | Infectious Bite: Bitten survivors become infected and lose 1HP per action until cured. Speaking does not cause survivors to lose health. Infected zombies do not lose health, but pass on the infection as if they had this skill.
It would be simpler, and far more awesome, to just change it so that an infected zombie can pass on the infection as if he had infectious bite. This does not "nerf" infected bite by giving it away for free... it makes it infinitely more fantastic. Not only are you infecting people, but those people can stand up and infect other people, and so on and so on and so on... The very spirit of a Zombie apocalypse. This would possibly also encourage newly dead survivors to stay on the dead side for a while. If a message on the stand up on death screen of an infected zombie said: You are Infected. You will lose 1hp per action when revived, and can pass this infection on with your bites. This effect will end if a first aid kit is used on you, alive or dead. they might stick around long enough to give it a try, and it would also encourage them to use Bite, which is the most efficient XP gainer untill you hit tier two RM tree skills. Also, newbie Zombies are the best possible people to spread the plague... Survivors targetted by a low level zombie are rarely killed outright (not enough damage doable in 50AP with low skills), so infecting them has a point. A high level zombie (currently) has no real reason to infect someone except for giggles and in realtime combat. This would put infectious bite in the hands of those who can do the most with it, and also gives a high level zombie a reason to bite that survivor he's going to kill easily anyway. I had more points, but it is late, and this was kind of spur of the moment. I'm sure you can think of more. Feel free to yoink anything I said to justify the current suggestion or any rewrite |
Discussion
- I like this idea, but it's essentially a more powerful version of what I put up before and several voters killed that for giving too powerful an ability for free. I'm not sure it would sway anyone. --Jon Pyre 02:30, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- More powerful, but less complicated. Could go with what someone else suggested, someone merely Infected has only a 50% chance of infecting someone else --Gene Splicer 09:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
