  • Eastonwood: Garret Row [31,29]:

TechCom Reporting

During our introductory period, please start all your speaks with "Join TechCom!".

When you enter the safe house, please report on the outside conditions. For example you might say "Join TechCom! 3 Zeds outside, 2 NW, 4 E, 3 at Garret Row revive point (31,29). No rotters at Garret Row." Your report is most helpful if you describe the immediate 9 block radius. We will assume no zeds in a block that you don't mention in your report. For example, we would assume no Zeds in the N, NE, W, SW, S, SE blocks with the previous report.

Private Reports should be sent via cell phone. You can find a cell phone searching in a Club. Every consultant should have a cell phone!

TechCom Tagging

We will attempt to instill a Uniform Barricading Policy for our corner of Darvall Heights. The UBP map will be created ASAP. In addition to the UBP map, we will try to institute a Uniform Tagging Policy. Outside the building the tag should indicate to newbies where the nearest entry point is located, where the nearest revive point is located. Inside the building the tag should link to the TechCom page on the wiki and tell what the suggested barricade level is for that building (and the reasons). For example, in Richmond Hills grid 30,31 would read outside TechCom: Newbies enter here! and inside TechCom: Freerunners go east. Barricade to VS. In Richmond Hills grid 30,30 would read outside TechCom: Newbie entry go south! Revives go east. and inside TechCom: Freerunners go southeast. Barricade to EH.

What else should be communicated in the tagging plan? Also, there should be a piece of our wiki page including the suggested tags, so vandalism can be reversed easily.

TechCom Dress Code

TechCom believes that first impressions count. A professional consultant who doesn’t take the time to maintain a professional appearance presents the image of not being able to perform adequately on the job. This professional dress code is codified because many professionals have never been taught appropriate professional appearance and demeanor. Professional dress code standards are alive-and-well in major financial and executive management and anyone who aspires to top management knows that your personal appearance counts. If you look and behave like a highly-trained and well-groomed professional you will win the respect and honor of our valued clients. A fresh haircut, spit-shined shoes and a crisp suit go a long way in establishing a professional demeanor. It's also about quality; most professionals can spot a cheap suit at twenty paces and high-quality dress shoes are de-rigueur.

Modify your profile as shown below:

Male Dress Code
Long sleeve shirt and tie. Dark jackets preferred. Slacks that are similar to Armani and other fine makers of cotton material pants, wool pants, and flannel pants are acceptable. Inappropriate slacks or pants include jeans, sweatpants, exercise pants, short shorts, and synthetic material dress pants, shorts, Bermuda shorts, bib overalls, leggings, and any spandex or other form-fitting pants such as bike clothing.

Female Dress Code
Professional dresses and skirts, and skirts that are split at or below the knee are acceptable. Typical brands include Chanel, Armani. Dress and skirt length should be no shorter than four inches above the knee, or a length at which you can sit comfortably in public. Short, tight skirts that ride halfway up the thigh are inappropriate for work. Mini-skirts, skorts, sun dresses, beach dresses, and spaghetti-strap dresses are inappropriate for the office.

Dress for success!
