The Alliance Forums
Founded on August 22, 2005, the Alliance Forums were created to help budding groups in Urban Dead communicate without fear of spies. The following instructions are taken directly from the site:
- First of all, if you're interested in creating an alliance, you need two things - members (there is a maximum of 25 members per alliance for now - this may be lifted later) and a forum. You will have to be responsible to get to the first thing. You can go into the Alliance forum (whether you're a zombie leader or a human leader) and advertise your alliance. You can require potential members to post their profiles to check out stats, you can require they be in a certain neighborhood before asking to join - it's pretty much up to you. Once you have at least one other member beside yourself registered on this board then contact me, Orchid, (either via PM or e-mail) or Jack Riparian with the following information:
- Your User Name
- Member(s) User Name
- Alliance Moderator (if not yourself)
- Alliance Name
- Alliance Description (optional)
- Alliance Open/Closed/Hidden*
- Alliance Type (Human or Zombie)
- A Valid E-mail Address must be in the Alliance Moderator's profile.
- An open alliance will show up on the Usergroups page and allow users to request membership. The Alliance Moderator(s) will be able to approve/deny membership. When denying membership, the person will not get a notice of denial.
- Once I have the information, I will set up a forum for you and your alliance members ONLY. The Alliance Moderator will be moderator of the forum as well as the group. (S)he will have the power to add or remove members as well as edit or delete posts as neccessary.
- For those of you that want to join an existing alliance, you can go about it a few ways. Check out the alliance message board. Once you have decided which alliance you want to join, question the members about it or go to the Usergroups page. Find the alliance you're interested in. If it is open membership you can click the Join Group button. If it is closed or hidden, you will have to contact a group member via the forums or PM. Remember, though - if you are denied move on. No sense in causing problems if you're not accepted.
