The Barh Family

The Barh Family is linked more closely to legend and cult than to actual history. There has only been one member of the Barh Family that has been found. This is of course the tribal leader of ancient Marbháin, which would later become Barhahville.

Barh the Tribesman

Barh reputedly founded Marbháin nearly 200 years prior to 0 AD. Barh was said to have been superhuman and defied death many times while he ruled his people for nearly two centuries. Historians cannot decide what truly happened to him as there are two common variants of the story, and both have little or no scientific validity, and most of the Marbháin history is gone, destroyed by the Ridleigh clan when they settled in the area in 37 AD. One says that he returned to death where he slept until the day he was needed. The other claims that he went on a journey to Hell. Neither story is accepted by the scientific community as fact.

Other legends state that when Barh finally died he left with his people a great knowledge. He taught them the art of recording sound in pottery, much like our vinyl records. The area flourished with their gift, with their pottery reputedly sent across the known world. One piece of pottery claimed to be a relic was purportedly brought to Jesus and recorded him commanding Lazarus to return from the dead. The pottery was smuggled back into England and was used to raise Barh from the dead.

Once again according to legend, Barh stood once again except this time he was not truly there. His body was, but his mind was elsewhere. He attacked and killed every follower of his. The followers that died would rise just like he shouting, "Barhah!" Their shouts were supposedly heard for miles before falling silent.

Sir Michael Edward Barh

Written histories of nearby Ridleybank were reportedly compiled by "Sir Michael Edward Barh," reputed to be a member of the Barh family, however, this claim has not been verified in the two centuries since, and many suspect that the name itself is a pseudonym. The link, however, of Barrville, Ridleybank and the concentration of zombies since the Outbreak does cause much question and research.

Modern Barh Family

There are no verified family members of Barh, however there is a cult that follows his work claiming to be his children. The cult has survived for centuries and many politicians and officials from Barrville continue the cult to this very day.
