The Crimson Clan has a fairly simple awards system, designed to add some fun and competition to the daily routine. A Member of the Year award is presented annually on April 4th (the anniversary of the Clan's founding), following a nomination period and then a voting period, open to the whole Clan and all allies. The Member of the Month award, first awarded in Februrary 2007, follows a similar design, with nominations and then voting, prior to the date of presentation, which is usually the first of each month. Sometimes, some extra awards or competitions are added, such as the Bounty Hunter competition or the "Make a poster" contest (the latter being on a certain theme), and sometimes the Member of the Month (MotM) is not presented at all, if there are lots of interesting suggestions for new awards that month.
