The Dampier Family
The Dampier Family was a minor family in Malton throughout the mid and late 20th century. They were long-time residents of Malton and had Dampier Lane named after themselves due to a modest contribution to the city of Malton. The Dampier Family would later provide funding for the Dampier Organization, who would use the funding for the construction of the Dampier Museum.

Richard Dampier
Richard Dampier was born on March 12, 1823, to Howard and Elain Dampier. He became a minor businessman and donated a modest sum of money to the city of Malton to have his family name place on a street near his office. He died July 22, 1868, from what his wife described as a head pain.
Donald Dampier
Donald Dampier was born on March 3, 1940, to George and Virginia Dampier. After expanding his families business to a minor degree, he began to collect toys from around the world. These toys would later be given to the Dampier Organization, which Donald established and left his will to. Mr. Dampier died August 3, 1988, in an auto accident. The Dampier Organization used what remained of his money to construct the Dampier Museum. His descendants status is unknown.
