The Stanbury Family

The Stanbury Family (originally called Stansbury) come from a long line of nobles. Their wealth lead to their influence in political affairs.

Sir Francis Stansbury

Francis Stansbury was one of the more famous Stansburys. He used his money to build up his home area and in 1609 Stanbury Village was named after him. By the early 1700's most people dropped the s in Stansbury and just called it Stanbury. A statue of Sir Francis Stansbury can be found in Stanbury Place.

Roslyn Stanbury

Born in the mid 1800's, she is the last documented Stanbury left. She was driven mad after the death of her husband and committed suicide.

Undocumented reports tell that she might of had children however this is disputed
