The Pilgrimage
With so much death in the city, some of the citizens partake in the Pilgrimage of the Crocodile as is performed by Cult of the Stuffed Crocodile in order to cleanse and rejuvenate themselves. It begins at Skarin Row Police Department and ends at The Reptile House in Malton's City Zoo. Many have taken the long path to the zoo and died trying. Some have claimed to have visited His Toothy Lord who have not. It is a path less-traveled but with vast rewards, for at the end is undeniable ecstasy.
The Follower
Hamburger Time - http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=1820444 a reincarnated veteran from the outbreak who, instead of become a zombie, chose to be sent back as a living being. Shortly after arriving (again) in Malton, Hamburger Time heard rumors of a supreme truth being realized in Dunningwood and set out to discover the ways of the Crocodile.
He was welcomed right away by members of Cult of the Stuffed Crocodile and was granted safety within their safe house. It was here that Hamburger Time was told of The Pilgrimage, and he decided that he would prove his loyalty to the Cult by partaking in it without delay.
Day 1
The sun was just setting on Malton as Hamburger Time began his journey. He was very lightly packed, having not yet re-mastered the art of shooting guns, he brought with him only an axe, a radio and a first aid kit. He brought with him no food, for in order for a complete cleansing of his soul, he fasted for 3 days beforehand.
Unsure of himself, Hamburger Time first said a prayer to The Crocodile at Skarin Row Police Department and was also blessed by several other members of the Cult. He looked out of the window towards the East and there he saw a great green beam of light descend from the heavens and shine on the City Zoo. The Great One had indicated to Hamburger Time that he was chosen to complete the great quest.
