The founding

The Church of True Believers was founded by Father O'Reiley just a few days after the infection.

Legend has it that, while the Father was caught up in a furious rage over the lack of faith in his beleaguered flock, a beam of light shone apon him and God spoke unto him: "UNITE THEM!"

Thereafter, O'Reiley swore his life to God, and made a pilgrimage to unite all Christians to join and worship.

Their beliefs

The Church Of True Believers is primarily Catholic, but their aim is to unite all Christians, no matter their denomination. As the Father put it, "We all worship the same God, and in a time like this, we need to come together as one church to worship our Lord."

They believe the entire crisis to be Satan's attempt to conquer the Earth before assaulting Heaven. It was because of this that Father O'Reiley has decided to defeat the zombies in the name of Christ. He and his followers all hope that Jesus will rise again in this time of need.

Baptism

When a new member joins the Church, they must be baptised. This is done in-game by finding a priest from the Church and say (spending 1AP to do so), "I give myself to Christ." The priest will reply with, "I make a cross on your head with this holy water, and now you are with Christ." Then the convert is offically part of the Church of True Believers.

Resurrecting

The church believes that reviving is necessary at all times, either through revive points or combat revives. Their logic for engaging in combat is that the living dead are slaves of Satan, and must be shown the pointlessness of remaining undead. They encourage all undead to find God and seek a resurrection.

Sinning

Taking the Lord's name in vain in-game is considered a sin. Murdering fellow human beings (except undead and those of violently-opposing factions) is also considered unacceptable.

Missionary work

The Church endeavors to set up and run local churches as healing posts and places of worship. They also set up, run, and protect revive points.

Individual members are encouraged to heal and guide their fellow survivors, and to spread the word of Christ and the Church through advertisements and sermons.

The pilrimage

Members are encouraged to emulate the founder, Father O'Reiley, by walking a pilgrimage to all the churches and cathedrals in the city.
