Update 2007

Yeah yeah, The Wanderers are not touring Malton right now, but our members are! Look for us helping in a town near you! In the near future we may start up the tour again, with new and/or different members and exciting new tourista branding leisurewear. Also don't confuse us with a new group starting up called Wanderers without the "The" They are not affiliated with us. Don't ask us, we didn't do it is our stance on their activities! Take care, we are still taking victims...er..recruits to fill our latest tour, anyone with interest check the website or talk to us on here. --Lovemachine 11:26, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Our Stance

The Wanderers love everyone! Except Zombies of course. We are a group that enjoys sharing our capabilities with any Survivors regardless of group, etc., unless they directly attack us or our allies. We enjoy the prospect of healing and helping kill where needed, in return for some very good hospitality. You see we at heart are vacationeers and stay nowhere long enough to permanently hold down a particular edifice. We love the sights, the sounds, the culture of Malton, even if it may be tourist unfriendly at the moment. We may not be the largest group, but thanks to our good behavior, charity, and preserverance, we have made a lot of friends along the way. Anyone looking to make a difference throughout all of the Malton area or just feeling the need to take a three week holiday, feel free to contact us via our website.

The Official Holiday History

Dartside

Dartside to say the least about it was a great town. There were a few scary places inside of it, but all in all, The Wanderers enjoyed their time here. The sites were not entirely spectacular, but it's overall generousity through the people present in town made up for any lack of sight seeing. We did enjoy touring some of the hospital buildings...where the latest in zombie wound patching up techniques were applied. Our favorite group in this town is our beloved Regulators Alliance! For the future...The Wanderers would definitely consider a second holiday in Dartside, that is if we found a good package deal, maybe flight, hotel and continental breakfast included. Thanks for all the blood Dartside!

Williamsville

Williamsville was a lot of fun. At times a scary city, but still filled with precious zombie flesh. Upon entering the town we were greeted by a large portion of zombies. There were no barricades and few survivors. The first week was a bit hectic, but alongside the R&R we were able to make a dent and turn the town silent for a short while. More survivors poured in once the barricades were firmed up and things became dull for a span of time. The sites were fine enough, we visited the clubs, splattered zed blood on the monuments. All in all, the only group noteworthy were the R&R who really seemed to be a well trained and highly hospitable group! As their tag said "Visitors keg at the door". We did run into one PK situation which seemed to be more of a confused attack more than anything, so forgive and forget is our motto. A few buildings to note are: Missen Nt Bldg, often times broken into--avoid sleeping in. Clayton Phone Mast Bldg--basically if you stay here you will die--we tried to spray that warning but Mal Tel tagged over it...There is a organized group that breaks down the Clayton doors nearly everyday. If your dream is to be lunch, you can become it there. All in all, we give Williamsville a thumbs up if you want mid-level action. Its not a rest home for Senior Survivors. We liked the town---and will never forget our days of standing knee deep in the blood of Zombie degenerates. Thanks for all the beer!!!!!

Buttonville

Buttonville was all about blue light specials for us. We enjoyed the mall fully, stocking up on name brand suits, travel brochures, and soft drinks. There was very little zed activity in this town during our visit. The sites were fine enough, almost every building at extremely heavily, and we really didn't run across any groups. Overall Buttonville's main monument is the Buckley Mall and if you don't have anything else to do---shop till you drop! If we ever need track suits, running shoes, or 50 gps units, we know where to come.

The Dartside Comeback Trip 06'

With reports of 100+ zeds in the neighborhood, The Wanderers were called into town by our friends The Regulators Alliance. They said, "Hey want to spill blood?" And we said "We love zombie blood!" We settled down in the town, familiar with all the sites, it truly was great revisiting them. In that expanse of time, we ravaged the South of the city, terrorizing every zed that crossed our path. It was another clean sheet, none of ours dead, plenty of theirs killed or revived. Working closely with the RA and other local groups, we made a decent impact in the zed population. Our shout "Run or Revive!" stuck in zed ears from north to south. Our efficent medical staff healed countless survivors in pain, many of them missing hunks of flesh from hungry inhabitants. The town is not currently cleared, but a bit calmed down. We consider our friendly visit a great victory! Thanks for inviting us RA!

Kinch Heights

Kinch Heights was a semi-dull town. It looked good, plenty of hotels, tourist traps (churches, museums, clubs---boy the prices for a drink at club Sroud were just ridiculous). There were very few zeds in the neighborhood 10-30 on average and a few organized working the top. Our cheers of "MMM MMM Delicious Zombie Blood" brought them a visting us, but nothing really came of it. Having said how easygoing a town this was, we did suffer 3-4 casulties, higher here than in any suburb. A momentary inconveinence before our ladies and gentlemen were off exploring the local culture again. The half-quiet of the town lulls a lot of people into lax gameplay. As we left, the lax gameplay probably came to a halt as what appears to be an organized zed attack took place at Milverton PD and surrounding resource buildings. We had no contact with any group in town, so can't say anyone was really showing us a good time. Is Kinch Heights our first tourist trap? Or was the Kinch Heights Tourist Welcoming Board on vacation too! Either way, the final verdict is---Worth another vacation only if they are offering those "your buddy flys free" incentives.

West Grayside

Our visit to West Grayside was no more than a long weekend after a good stretch of work. We relaxed, we shopped. There was a minor zed/high survivor population in this town at our arrival. The Clapton Stadium and mall was being broken into by very small organized groups of zombies who did little to no damage. In fact our only problem was with a Mayor Fitting of a group Four Horses operating in the area who pk'ed one of our guys with out reason. They claim to be pro-human but other survivors have mentioned them PK'ing. The only kill The Wanderers can confirm is our own! Our response was not a pleasant one and a few of their boys are now living with our carniverous counterparts. Otherwise there were no interactions with any groups in the area. Shortly after we left the town it was reported that many many zombies came by to make the Pole Mall shoppers---well shop to they drop. Some notables while we were there include a very very long revive line at a noted point on MacKie St. 40-50 zeds waiting patiently. Also Holly Cresent PD was under frequent attacked and certainly not reccomended as a sleepover. Generally this town will maintain high barricade levels throughout for shopper safety and to prevent unneccesary loss prevention! West Grayside is a mall town to put it plainly. Seen one, seen them all. Sure we enjoyed taking in a game of zombie football at the stadium. IN the end, if we are looking to become pk'ed or possibly find those ever evasive creme colored cordorouys, we'll be back in West Grayside! Thanks for all the stolen merchandise!

Wyke Hills

Not much to say here, low to average number of zombies, plenty of ammo thanks to Buckley Mall. This town has gone back to a secure state after the RRF excursion. We killed, revived, barricaded, gave out discount heals, and discount vd. The majority of action was always middle or upper Wyke, but still that action was limited at best. We would recommend this as a vacation town to those looking to get away from it all. Soak in the southern sun, do a little bargain hunting, and pick off luckless zeds with relative ease! We came across no interactions with other groups in this city. The best of luck to it, but Wyke Hills probably isn't a town we'll be seeing again.

Hollomstown

Were the stories true? We wanted to find out for ourselves. Hollomstown was rumored to be a town without barricade, a hot bed of delicious zombies running around unchecked. The reality, yes, there were a lot of zombies, enough to have some on most squares. Barricades didn't last very long. Most zombies tore at them daily, relentless in getting unorganized meat. Large spaces of town were completely unbarricaded, wide open across the board. Some of the South and West were mildly barricaded. We went there hoping to change that. In a way, we did. We held a large area of the city in a constant state of barricading, set up a revive point, a second revive point, healed, and killed with zeal. We sprayed our words across all the walls, ridding parts of the town of zed slander. Our only interactions with groups were negative ones. We came across the Zergers United, a proclaimed anti-human/pro zombie group. Honestly, unlike Rambo, we drew first blood. Anyone with bios that say "Pro zombie, revive if you dare"....you should be prepared to pay the price of having such words written. So we wiped them out a few times, etc etc. Not sidetracking ourselves too much with these guys, we did our work and left. The truth about Hollomstown. There isn't really a reason for humans to be there. Most of the humans had only zed skills, and most didnt last the night. We did see the PA Posse there and they seemed to be doing well. Although we softened Hollomstown up for the human liberation, we shouted to the malls and other neighboring burbs to help clean up the town, without a population of willing humans, the town will again be only a place where getting xp as a zed is easy business. Its a full time job and one we don't care enough for to do. It's like that old saying goes, "Nice to visit, but im glad i don't live there."

Danversbank

The Wanderers only went to Danversbank for a weekend getaway. We didn't do anything for the town, but instead hosted the first of our many inter-group games called "The Zombie Olympics". The Zombie Olympics are designed to keep our high level players and everyone in general amused in different ways. This provides a nice alternative to sitting around in mundane towns. Was Danversbank mundane? No, most of the buildings were in poor barricade shape, there were a lot of zombies floating around, too many for a city without a good portion of humans. Our opinion, there's room to clean up in Daversbank, for those with coordination and experience, but generally not a spot for those first time travellers!

Whittenside

We came to see the infamous Fort Perryn, to destroy or return to life the undead, and to find a good club or two. Instead we found the fort to be nothing but a glorified PD (with worse search odds) surrounded by streets. There were no zombies to be found within the fort reigion at the time of our visit....but there were 35ish at the Anne Hospital just below it. Also in the vicinity were random small packs causing random break ins and general mayhem. We decided to set up shop at The Mais, McLaren, and Roche (fondly remembered as the roach) Motels. They were secure buildings that allowed us to assist the locals in the battle to rid the area of dead. We revived many, killed many, and healed where we were able. A member from the Pennville Freedom Movement was kind enough to give one of our guys waiting at a revive point a jolt back into the world of the living. A good, well working revive point is at Woolley Grove (86-94) another is at the cemetery at (87-90). We left with no zombies standing at the hospital, none at revive points and very few within the reigon. Our guess is that it will continue to remain active. At the end of our stay, we must say, the people were great in Whittenside (although the fort was not) and we truly enjoyed the company. This town has plenty of survivors and is generally supportive to low levelers as well as high. Come to Whittenside if you are looking to get your hands dirty. There's plenty of zombie blood to wash them clean.

Miltown

Miltown was another 2 day stopoff in our zombie olympics campaign. See Danversbank for details. We found the town to be in really bad shape. There were lots of zombies, many many of them brain rotters, and most buildings were wide open. Things got progressively worse as you went south. It appeared to be another Hollomstown. We came. We saw. We didn't kill very much. We spent the most of the time tagging (one of our zombie olympic goals was to tag all banks and libraries) and did some revives. The only thing that we can say about Miltown is that if you are coming, bring your friends, you'll need'em. We came to the edge of the world, seeing if we would fall off, and well when we got to Nickells Grove, we nearly did!

Fryerbank

Not much to say about Fryerbank. We came, we saw, we bought discount ammunition. It'd be a suprise if one zombie was killed via Wanderer hands while in Fryerbank. We may have done stray heals, revives, but mainly all it had to offer was the glowing glitter that is Joachim Mall. Come here if you want to shop, enjoy the company of friends and probably Pk'ers.

Penny Heights

Joachim mall part two. It will be noted that the southern part of this town did have more zombies, but we were hanging out there during the annual Pk day. One of our members was PK'ed by Moon Stone. Other than that, we ran across no groups that extended a hand to us, the downtrodden tourists of another dull town. The next time we appear in Penny Heights, it'll be when our pants are pulled up to our teats and we are looking for a good retirement home.

Houldenbank

We expected Houldenbank to be a blast. With a place called Hooker Bank (strangely placed next to gummer bank), why wouldn't it? Well we swept in killing and reviving a significant amount of zombies. But we also committed a cardinal sin. A travesty that cannot be justified. We killed a man, maybe even two at a revive point. The pleas of the victim and our reply can be found in the discussion page. In any way, after going to confession for our sins, we continued to do our bit in clearing the town of rotting residents...even if a bit too excitedly. We didn't really spy any groups or were not extended greetings by hosts within the town. This town has the potential for being fun for those people looking for a good challenge. There are a lot of brain rot zombies here and they work together to wreak some substantial havoc. The Owsley Building is often attacked by said zombies and a good focal point for combat. Bottom line, although some of the people may not be a blast in this town, the zombies will give you one hell of a good time and the general population of humans are talkative and friendly. The Wanderers give the Hooker Bank, 4...well...4 Thumbs up.

Osmondville

Blah, The Wanderers visited Osmondville for about four seconds, and that was four seconds too long. If you don't want to play Urban Dead or are very very paranoid of being eaten by the undead, go to Osmondville. Somebody must have sprayed zombie repellent on that town.

Vinetown

The Wanderers went here with a goal in mind. Aid in defense of St John's Cathedral while also running revives and causing general mayhem. What happened was something else. We found a few zeds at the revive point, which we quickly took care of. Other than that, there was absolutely nothing to do. The zed population in this town was very low and there seemed to be more Vinetown residents squabbling than anything. Better to leave this town off the Malton brochure. If they tear down the cathedral and put in an amusement park, call us up.

Gulonside

Blesley Mall! Another place to stock up and have overpriced drinks with the natives. In Gulonside our favorite place to hang out was Club Wadman's Stripperama. The club owner (whose name evades me, sorry!) was very chatty, offered all the services his club without the cover charge. The Wanderers enjoyed the hospitality and found this mall atmosphere to be one of the better ones. Not the usual shifty gangs of humans saying nothing, stocking up heavily and dissapearing in the night. We would have liked to stay longer in Gulonside, we left on the arrival of the PH and their seige on the suburb. Maybe next time. We'll have to set up future reservations for the vip section of Wadman. Cheers to Gulonside!

Wray Heights

Yeah we heard all about it, hell on earth, pk city, etc, etc. When we got there we found plenty of zombies, but not so many PH. We hosted our 3 day getaway in St. Polycarp's church and effectively held it despite protests from other overserious players. The zombies protests were a little more obvious. In the process we did rack up a few PK's on the PH. Most notably Tonettico and Steven Zeko. We did suffer a whopping three Wanderers fatalities during this little adventure. Just remember, Death is not the end. In the end, we didn't experience any negative things from the PH, and if they attacked us at all, it was within respectable bounds. If you want to test your skills, there is not a better place to be. Humans will kill you, Zombies will kill you, there will be no barricades. Wray Heights is not for those weak of will. We'd love to come back sometime and take part in a highly entertaining battle that takes place in this section of the city.
