Turle Bank
Description
Short and squat, The Turtle as it became known by the locals, is covered in an assortment of lichens and other plant materials whose seeds have floated across from the nearby zoo to take root in the cracked foundation of the bank. A minimum windows and the double entry doors were originally intended to deter would-be robbers but have now left this as one of the more defensible structures in the suburb. The inner set of doors has been left in ruins and the lack of electricity from the city's power grid leaves the building interior in darkness.
The proximity of the bank to the adjacent Staples Building which houses one of the three Necrotech facilities in this suburb has led to great strategic importance in this previously rather obscure and somewhat poorly funded credit union.
History
Operating originally as a credit union for Malton Zoo employees, Turtle Bank opened it's doors to the general public in 1998. Three weeks before the quarantine went into place, a daring daylight robbery took place, with the thieves getting away with about $80,000.00.
Barricade Policy
The Turtle Bank is to be maintained at EHB per the Ketchelbank Barricade Plan
Current Status
7/27/2009 You are inside Turle Bank. The vault lies open, its contents either looted or transferred. With the lights out, you can hardly see anything. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. Also here are paddyodoors and Hal Jarvis.A portable generator has been set up here. It is out of fuel.--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:12, 28 July 2009 (BST)
