Only one tent out of many remains pitched, and out of all the abandoned vehicles, only one appears serviceable. Above the gate is a sign outlining a list of instructions and advisories. Spraypainted across the sign are the words: Road flooded. Dead trapped in forest, neither crossing the river nor returning north. All forever migrate south. The gate was once barred and locked, though is now bent and unhinged. The gate used to swing inward, and is still laced with barbed wire... Oh, you don't really care about the gate. You look up at the sign above it. What is it with the south? Is it that there's something there, or nothing here? Need, want, instinct—you don't know. Escape or merely going forward.
