You are on a road driving a jeep. A dozen species of tree, green and blue-green, line the side of the road and create a canopy. The forest isolates the road, a thin cut of concrete running south. Power lines run north-south along the side of the road.
- You continue driving south. Why deviate from the surer, better understood path? But this path is only more familiar. Same bumps, same cracks in the concrete, same direction. This path is preferred because it came first in an ordering of paths. Not preferred because it is based on facts built-up to a logical decision, but rather that things came together in this way, just as it so happened.
Possible actions:
- Keep driving
Inventory:
- You carry only a whistle, a bent knife and a smashed radio. It has been a long ride. Your blue jeans are shredded; the T-shirt, stretched 2 sizes larger, is more red than white, and your shoes are unaccounted for. Overtop it all you wear a yellow rain jacket. Perched atop your head is a crumpled paper party hat.
