The middle layers are more desperate, calling for lost companions or directing people to safehouses and deterring them from places that are no longer safe. The layers above are threatening; the highest layers are pleas. From trivia, to panic, to brutal "survival-of-the-fittest"; to isolation and the final grab to bring together whomever is left, all past wrongdoings forgiven—nearly. There are three familiar letters here: CRE.
