Streetlights have been downed, one of which has crashed through a window to the Harrold Hotel. A narrow path has been cleared between hundreds of jam-packed vehicles. The street is flecked with fresh blood. A sheet has been draped out of an eight floor window of the Harrold Hotel. Somebody has spraypainted ALIVE INSIDE, SEND HELP across it. Apart from a few heavily decomposed corpses, there is one more recent kill here. Harrold Hotel was once a destination for the rich, but generations of survivors over a decade has reduced the building to a fortified and re-fortified stitched together mess. Every glass window on the first floor has been broken and subsequently barricaded with layers of planks. The walls are resurfaced in areas. The front doors are not original, having been replaced by layers of wire and iron rods. You approach the front doors. Above are large gold letters: HAR OLD HOTEL.
