This was once a busy intersection, both before and after the outbreak. More than a typical number of emergency response vehicles are present, and a military outpost (fallen into ruin) has taken up most of the sidewalk to the southwest. Barricades have since been breached. Somebody has spraypainted west watched - avoid onto a wall. There are a few dead bodies here. Searching police cars, you find them looted; as are the ambulances; the military trucks; and the long-since defunct outpost. You sit on a rusty little chair beneath a tarp inside of the outpost. Surrounding you is a barrier. It is built of sandbags and low iron-bar fences that probably were once used for marathons on this very intersection. There doesn't seem to be anything to do here. Inventory: You carry only a smashed radio. It has been a long ride. Your blue jeans are shredded; the T-shirt, stretched 2 sizes larger, is more red than white, and your shoes are unaccounted for.
