You are in a grove, the trees tall and old. Growth has begun to obscure the pathways and spread out to reclaim the surrounding area.
There is a dead form here.
- You examine the dead form. It's a wild dog. Its haunches have been twisted badly, and large chunks have been torn from neck and side. Apparently, at least one animal had survived amidst the apocalypse, before something got it just recently; the smell is telling, and its glazed eyes haven't decayed yet.

- You carry a knife, a journal, a bloodied radio and a flare gun. You have a pistol (4) and three spare magazines inside your vest pouches. You are wearing a tactical vest, blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a pair of shoes.
