You are inside a classroom of Pridmore Way School, a middle school. Wooden panels have been fitted into window frames, made to block interior light and movement. Mattresses, cushions, blankets, and dirty fabrics function as sleeping arrangements. Stains form outlines for objects that are no longer there.
The whiteboard has been wiped clean, and no new names have adorned it since.
- You search the area. Although you have no adequate comparison, this classroom feels the most looted, the most vandalized out of them all. The only things remaining are those common enough to have remainder––the sleeping arrangements––and those big enough to be never fit through the door nor practical to haul anywhere. Somethings that must have stayed for years, sufficient for stains, are stolen; you guess at what they were. Other things have had pieces taken from them, a desk, for example, removed of its legs and drawers.
In the middle of the floor is a crumpled piece of paper. But not even litter nor junk has survived the looting. This could be recent, or so very boring that no one would care to notice it.
