Ross turns to you from up front and asks you for directions. You do remember that you're supposed to know the way out of the city because you found a way in? More importantly, you do remember a certain blackout, right after leaving Blackmore, and the subsequent inexplicable teleportation to outside of this mall?
So, it is to say you actually have no idea where to go. Yet you pretended like you actually knew; you lied to Ross. That's surprisingly duplicitous of you. Best to continue the lie. It won't make a difference.
