You are inside a hall of the Harold Hotel. Over-turned baggage carts and opened suitcases clutter the floor. A broken light fixture dangles from the ceiling. The east firedoor has been loosely barricaded. Also here is Criid (50HP).
Somebody has spraypainted stay away from the doors, they can hear you through them onto a wall.
- The two survivors leave the stairwell, now one floor up and believing the worst is behind them. Last night is last night. The next night is the next night. And it's not even night.
Criid is unsure of where to go. (This is fine.) She expects something to jump out at her; she believes that staying put (the feet are planted and still) and not moving a muscle (the arms hug the torso) ensures that something's trap will forever be up ahead and therefore not stepped on. (It frightens her to think she is stepping on one right now, like a landmine, so it's best that she doesn't go back either, or sideways, or move.)
