BACKGROUND

All Alan Locust wanted to be was a quiet doctor, abiding by the Hippocratic Oath, helping the masses one patient at a time. He was working as an intern in St. Eutychian's Hospital, Darvall Heights, Malton, when the infection hit. It took Alan over a year to recover from the ensuing madness that gripped him; seeing patients coming in with an incurable infection, watching them die and become reborn, took a lot out of Alan's psyche. When he recovered his sanity, however, he resolved to continue to abide by the Oath, helping those that were injured but still alive, and dealing with those that had succumbed to the infection any way he saw fit...

Alan heard through the grapevine that the Infantry was recruiting people to help in their fight against the infected. Knowing that combat-seeking personnel needed medical support, he sought the U.S. Army Infantry and joined up.
