Entry Two - We brought company.
August 9, 2007
It's been a while since I last updated this. Oh well. I'm currently stationed with my comerades in Eastonwood. This place is the biggest hellhole, I swear. But we'll get to that later. I figured I'd write everything now before I get some sleep for tomorrow's continuation of our current operation.

Starting where I left off... Another paramilitary group other than ours picked up the tip I gave out that Mitchem Mall was about to fall under seige. At the same time, Olivera and two of his other men, Leon Cane and Nicholai, managed to arrive on foot at the mall. Once they managed to break in through the roof, they found me wandering the northwest section of the mall. As soon as we regrouped, Olivera briefed me in on how we were going to escape the mall. Zombies were already starting to gather outside. He told me that I was their only priority, and that the other 200 survivors were on their own. As much as I didn't like leaving them behind, I had to go, or I was going to be on my own aswell. I tried telling people that they could come with us, that the backup I had been telling them about had arrived, but none of them seemed anxious about getting out for some reason. So we, the four-man team, evacuated the mall and jacked a vehicle to Molebank. We stationed ourselves in the Burrell Way Police Department, where there were about 80 other survivors, including more UBCS members.

About two days later, I picked up a radio transmission that.. Mitchem Mall had fallen to a horde of 100+ zeds. Paramilitary groups that were defending the mall were in an uproar, issuing commands and requesting for backup like crazy. I don't know what happened to the mall after that, or if those 200 people I tried to help out were all dead or not.

Anyway, another day passed and while Nicholai and a few other random survivors were out patrolling the streets for more supplies, they came back soon after and reported that a huge horde of zombies was flooding the southeast of Molebank, and fast. Molebank's only two hospitals, Felix and St. Elizabeth's, were already under full seige. And so Cane and Olivera agreed to give the entire team the new order to go into the breached area, clear out every crevice from the undead, and report back to the PD if they were wounded, out of ammo, or if the situation became entirely out of control.

It was an eventual success. We managed to push the hordes back, and the majority of them started passing northwest. The hospitals were ours for the taking again... almost. Atleast we were able to enter and exit and get supplies safely enough, despite some of the still-wandering zeds.

Yesterday afternoon, we picked up a major distress signal from a couple suburbs away. From Umbrella. It was from their lead agent, Operative "Airborne." Cane took the call. You see, Umbrella had begun conducting an operation centered around the suburb of Eastonwood days ago called "Operation: Shifting Sands." They were to send three seperate platoons into Eastonwood. Two platoons would clear out all major buildings of the undead. The third platoon would stay mobile on the streets and take out any wandering hordes. But the mission went wrong, as the hordes were way too powerful and immediately pounced on the agents. So they requested that we conduct a Search and Rescue operation on Umbrella.

Now, I dug up some information of my own, via a laptop I found at an old Necrotech building. I found a satellite database that shows a 3D map of the city, and using Necrotech technology, it is able to show how many zeds are in each suburb, and by this, each suburb is given a "Danger level" which is still constantly upgraded by an unknown source. Eastonwood is one of many suburbs that are on the highest danger level, Red. The point of Umbrella's newest operation is to clear out Eastonwood to a point where it, on the danger scale, would be considered "Green," which means that the suburb is safe and clear of zeds.

I'm still digging up all the information I can on Malton and all of it's suburbs. Once EVERYTHING is done, I will pass on a rundown of all the statistics. Anyway, most of my comrades had made it to Eastonwood last night. I stayed back to gather more heavy firepower. I got here at midnight, and managed to shoot my way through a horde, taking out a couple zeds completely. I really want to be of some good use this time around. And I'll make sure of that. Anyway, it's about 4 in the morning and I had better get to sleep. I can't sleep for long, though. The building I'm in is barricaded to the point that nothing will be able to get in at any point, but those zombies outside, man... There must be hundreds of them. Those barricades might not last long, so, I'm staying on my toes right now. Metaphorically, of course.

Entry One - Deployment into Malton.
June 29, 2007
It had been a long and furious past couple weeks. After my recent meeting with Trent, it had been decided that I would rejoin UBCS. It's been almost 10 years since Raccoon City, and when I abandoned that faction. But after these past years, what with all the other events I've encountered, the fact that a city was infested with god-defying creatures didn't seem to be much of a shock anymore.

Anyway, a few days ago, I went back to the HQ and signed myself back up. They welcomed me with opened arms, knowing I was a veteran and all... But just like before, something was up. I had been rushed through some briefing. Apparently there was an outbreak of greater proportions than Raccoon City. Thankfully, it was barely anything to do with Umbrella, so any spare bio-weapons would not be a factor. Instead, Umbrella had been called on to help the situation.

Some corporate entity similar to Umbrella, called NecroTech Inc., accidentally had a viral spill in one of their labs which resulted in a full-scale outbreak. Or atleast, that's what I was told. Anyway, these zombies did not stop in numbers. The number of survivors was pretty good, though. Atleast a couple thousand, maybe. UBCS had been deployed already a couple months ago, along with dozens of Umbrella agents. Since there was really no one left over at the base, I was brought alone, by chopper into the city of Malton. Population, 200,000+.

I just got here a couple days ago. My own orders were to regroup with UBCS. You think the pilot would have dropped me off closer, but no. Instead, I landed in Vinetown, one of Malton's many suburbs. Anyway, I just learned a couple days ago that the majority of UBCS members, including the new leader Carlos Olivera, were all sitting back at their HQ shared by the Umbrella Agents over in the suburb of Molebank, which is way west of this place.

I had started trekking west a bit but ended up running into a mob of zombies, so I hopped through the barricades of a local police station on Caunt Street. I stayed there for about a half hour before the barricades came down and zombies started killing people off. Coincidentally, I received a signal on my radio from a survivor saying that the entire suburb was slowly becoming overrun and that all survivors were advised to hightail it to the nearby Mall. So, unable to help the others I was with, I ran a few blocks until I came upon the mall. I broke in successfully, and thankfully there were not many zeds around outside at the time.

That was yesterday. There are over 200 survivors in the mall at the time of writing this. The mall is slowly falling under siege. Reports have it from outside that over 150 zeds were coming at us. Thankfully, I managed to get in contact with Olivera. He's leading UBCS to come rescue me and everybody else before the zombies kill us all. Meanwhile, my new objectives are to stay put and help defend. UBCS should be here by tomorrow. The barricades should last by then.
