You follow Roselaine, ignoring the blood trail on the ground. Besides, following the trail might lead you to danger if you aren't careful. As light from the opposite end of the corridor floods the ground, you see the trail seemingly follow Roselaine's path. He suddenly stops at an intersection, shrieking.
