I entered into the northwest corner where pretty much every building I passed through was open and ransacked. It took about 15 APs just to find somewhere I hope is safe to rest. The eastern side doesn't seem quite as bad but it definitely is a big difference from good old Pescoside and Dulston.

I'm running low on ammo again, and that particular PD didn't look like a great place to search for ammo (as you can see from the screen shot.) Next up is Houldenbank. At least Penny Heights has two malls so I'll be able to do some serious ammo collecting.

--FishOutOfWater 17:40, 8 August 2006 (BST) Onward ho! After a weekend on vacation, it was time to move on to Fyerbank. I got lucky by finding a notorious rotter by the name of nebub/152866 standing in the wasteland at [96,82]. Obviously, other survivors had noted his presence. After one failed scan I found him in the group and filled him full of lead.
--FishOutOfWater 05:50, 9 August 2006 (BST) Busy day. Managed to mosey on over to Miltown and cap another rotter - Ashleigh Redfield/262144 outside the Cartwright Building Necrotech [91,91]. I couldn't find the Malton S.T.A.R.S. on the Wiki - if I had or if Ashleigh hadn't been a rotter I would have picked a new target. As Vic Rattlehead will tell you, no one gives a rotter an even break! This kill also marks a literal turning point. I've completed the eastern edge of Malton and for the next while my progress will be northward through Whittenside, Pennville, etc. all the way to Rolt Heights.

I will count Pennville as complete, but it still annoys me. The rotter in question was dustBOY/184929. I suspect that he was part of the Big Bash. It wasn't like I was even sleeping in a resource building, as the dastardly deed occurred in Voller Towers [88,88]. Freakin' zeds, can't they control their appetite?

--FishOutOfWater 02:00, 12 August 2006 (BST) I'm noticing that it is much harder to DNA scan zombies in Osmondville. I don't know why, but I've used around 12 APs and haven't been successful yet. I did have a zombie get into my sleeping quarters. I had to evict it with extreme prejudice. Maybe it will get back in before I'm able to move on, but I hope not...

Moved on the Vinetown. What a mess. The mall is overrun, and only a few buildings seem to be housing survivors. Ugh. That's going to make it much harder to reload on ammo.

Then I made a quick burn up to Pegton where I axed found79/455145 outside the Downes Building [87,58]. It's always nice when a rotter is taken out.

For those who don't know, he also works with the alternates d'ivine comedy and Div'ine Comedy. He is also wanted by the entire Dulston Alliance. And he had the nerve to claim that I was a PKer! Hopefully the survivors around Giddings Mall have more sense than to believe that wanker.

Normally I wouldn't consider killing a PKer as part of fulfilling my quest. However, given the fact that he PKed me (more than once, I might add) and accused me of being a PKer, I think I'll spare a zombie in Pitneybank for now. I didn't manage to kill d'ivine comedy so I guess I'll have to go back.

I put a few slugs into him and left him lying with a hole in his head. I then went looking for a zombie in Gibsonton but the only one I found was a survivor waiting at a revive point. I'll have to try again tomorrow.

After punching him full of 9mm holes, I took my fire axe to the head of buckyacouch/164067. It'll be a while before he manages to get back on his feet...

I capped and dumped him, built the 'cades to VS+2 and used one of my very few FAKs before moving on. This is as close to my "home turf" that I'll be for quite a while, so I don't mind helping with a few extra APs.

I'm a bit worried about my sleeping spot - it looks like I might be moving into the fringes of the Big Bash again. We'll see if I make it through the night...

I felt bad for Kenji Lacuar, who had made it inside the building and was waiting patiently for a revive. Alas, without a syringe, generator and fuel, there was nothing I could do to help the poor rotten sod. Perhaps another understanding soul will help, but the odds are all he'll get is a headshot and a rude dumping. Brain Rot is not a skill to be taken lightly...

When I woke up I wandered over to the carpark at [74,76] where I found cletus van damme/44598 munching on the former lot attendant. From atop Stanbury Towers, I espied some zombies in neighbouring Scarletwood. Outside the Rawkings Building [72,81] stood joe kelly PRODUCTION/650132. Five rounds from the shotgun sorted that out. Alas, the days action has tired me, and now I search for a place to rest.
