Diary of Lieutenant Taylor
2008
May 2nd: I set off early to avoid detection by the zombie horde gathered nearby. I made my way from building to building and was relieved to find most of the structures still intact. Several buildings has active generators and I was able to aquire a radio along the way. Not sure what I might pick up on it, but it might come in handy. Getting close to the armoury now, and have been updating building safety on the MaltonWiki via internet as I go. I have decided to stop at the Leach Motel which is adjacent to the Armoury gatehouse. No sure if my free running skills will get me straight inside, so I will ask a few of the motel guests and then made a break for it tommorrow. (addition)- Just as I was settling down for the night I noticed 5 zombies in one of the rooms. There were staggering about but apparently distracted. Looks like some of them got in before the barricading was set up. No gun so have to make a break for the armoury now... (addition)- No way into to the armoury as you have to break the barricades down. Barely made it back inside. Now hiding out in the Garton place railway station.
May 1st: At 4am this morning I was airdropped into the city. I know my friends are in here somewhere. The last transmission I recieved placed there somewhere in Danversbank. I have found myself slightly beyond the target zone, damn flyboys! I landed in Scarletwood, to the north of where I intended to drop. There were about ten or zone walking corpses nearby so I ran to the nearby Gillespie Cinema. Damn I wish I had remembered to bring a gun! Safely inside Gillespie Cinema, its auditorium in darkness and the doors very strongly barricaded, I met up with a group of survivors: Voxmanglaen, RPNecroTech, Dutchcr8ture, Cappanoole, Bullets and Shells, Doctor Painmeister, Daniel Kraves and PhilL. None of them were very talkative, probably worn out with all the zombie attacks. I could help but think to myself that they all had such strange names... I went up on the roof later in the evening and saw a military fort a few blocks to the east. Looks like there are nearly 40 Zombies outside the gates, but it seems to be held by the living. Might be good for aquiring some weapons. I have worked out that there are a series of buildings that weave toward the fort so I might be able to use them to get close. Still waiting on word from my friends... hope they are still alive.
April 30th: I was approached by my commanding officer today. He had some bad news, several of my friends were stranded in the zombie-infested city of Malton. I was strickly forbidden to attempt a rescue but I can't sit back and wait. I talked to a friend in the air-corps and organised a secret para-drop for early tommorrow morning. I don't know how I can help them, but I know I have to try...
