Mary MacDonough is pretty average. She has dishwater-blonde hair and slender, average build. She has greyish, dusty irises which may be the only thing noteworthy about her appearance amonst the other survivors.

She grew up in a working-class northern mountain town. like many young women from the area, thought the military would be a good way to get some discipline and opportunity in her life. And maybe meet some chicks while she as at it.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst right after basic training. She was caught in a supply shed, while actively not asking or telling, by an asker-teller. However, before the diligent young recruit could turn Mary in, she was eaten by a zombie. Or two zombies, possibly. Mary, who witnessed the attack, chose to flee rather than protect the now-overrun base. Her one night stand refused to go away with her, but Mary knew the jig was up and continued on her lonesome way. She does often wonder what happened to that private. And to her military career.

These days, Mary has come back in contact with a familiar gaggle of rag-tag libertines, The Straponistas. She has joined her old friend Rasi in the quest to locate other Straponistas who were caught in the Malton area during the time of infection.
